Some huge updates regarding Samurai Blue: Afterimage…

First, we are thrilled to announce that we have officially submitted the song “Drive with Heart” to the 68th Grammy Awards! This will be my first time campaigning for the @recordingacademy, and even though the competition is unbelievably stiff this year, it feels like a surreal milestone to even get to this point after joining the organization back in 2020.

Speaking of “Drive with Heart”, we just just hit 100k streams on Spotify! I feel so incredibly lucky to be part of something that had an impact on so many listeners, and this song would absolutely not exist without the god-tier talents of @aubree_bouche, @variendarkgirl, @wyatt_delta22, @mpinkneywriter, and the entire cast/crew.

Last (but certainly not least), Samurai Blue is nominated for Best Creative Film at the @motorfilmawards! This festival is basically the Oscars for car movies, and the fact that Samurai Blue is the only animated film in the mix is such a huge win for independent animation. Sadly I am unable to attend the ceremony in London, but I am rooting for all of my team members there!!!

Keep an eye out for more Samurai Blue updates in the future… 👀 by @afterimage_en

We are so honored to announce that Samurai Blue: Afterimage has been nominated for the @motorfilmawards in London!

We might just be the only animated project in the mix, but that makes us more excited to stand shoulder to shoulder with the industry titans we’ve been nominated alongside.

You can see the nominees list at our link in bio, or by following the links on the @motorfilmawards page. taken in Alexandra Palace, London by @afterimage_en

“Los Angeles. 2039. 12 years ago, Los Angeles was torn apart by The Big One: an earth-shattering disaster brought on by quakes and tsunamis that forever reshaped the City of Angels.

It does not take long for the greedy corporation Voltex Industries to move in. Under the guise of “building back stronger”, they began to reshape LA in their image: the image of a perfectly robotic utopia.” Concept art for @afterimage_en pitch deck #samuraiblue #indieanimation taken in Los Angeles, California by @afterimage_en
