I am truly floored and honored that @motorfilmawards chose to honor our film @afterimage_en for Best Sound Design (along with two other awards!), a truly stacked category that included films like F1 and Mission Impossible.

Crafting the music and soundscape of Samurai Blue: Afterimage was a truly Herculean team effort, and this award would not be possible without the efforts of @dang.it.nathan, @wyatt_delta22, @justinvoegelin, and Jon Haightred.

Sadly, I was unable to attend the awards ceremony in London, but the team graciously brought my statuette back home, and I am stunned by how beautiful it looks.

Truly grateful for the industry validation for our indie animated pilot! Looking forward to sharing more good news about Samurai Blue soon. 🤩

Some huge updates regarding Samurai Blue: Afterimage…

First, we are thrilled to announce that we have officially submitted the song “Drive with Heart” to the 68th Grammy Awards! This will be my first time campaigning for the @recordingacademy, and even though the competition is unbelievably stiff this year, it feels like a surreal milestone to even get to this point after joining the organization back in 2020.

Speaking of “Drive with Heart”, we just just hit 100k streams on Spotify! I feel so incredibly lucky to be part of something that had an impact on so many listeners, and this song would absolutely not exist without the god-tier talents of @aubree_bouche, @variendarkgirl, @wyatt_delta22, @mpinkneywriter, and the entire cast/crew.

Last (but certainly not least), Samurai Blue is nominated for Best Creative Film at the @motorfilmawards! This festival is basically the Oscars for car movies, and the fact that Samurai Blue is the only animated film in the mix is such a huge win for independent animation. Sadly I am unable to attend the ceremony in London, but I am rooting for all of my team members there!!!
