I’m back in Parliament and ready to represent Manchester Rusholme. My office has now re-opened and my team and I are able to help support constituents.

Here’s how you can get in touch. by @afzalkhanmcr

Israel's bombing of Gaza has meant that many facilities Palestinians use to claim asylum have been destroyed.

I've written to the Prime Minister to ask him and the Home Secretary to consider options for those who cannot access essential infrastructure so that Palestinians can reach safety here. by @afzalkhanmcr

I recently had such a tasty meal @jafrarestaurant_ - an amazing Palestinian restaurant on the Curry Mile in my constituency.

Having heard all about musakhan from friends I was so excited to try their take on this hugely popular traditional Palestinian dish - and it did not disappoint!🍗

Come down to Jafra and try it for yourself.📍 by @afzalkhanmcr

The climate catastrophe gets worse with every second we burn more fossil fuels.

This government knows that any decisions on future energy must put the climate first. Here is the Minister committing to this.👆️ by @afzalkhanmcr

I'm delighted to announce that I have been elected as the Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change.☀️

Climate change is the biggest crisis humanity faces - but tackling it is also an exciting opportunity to improve the lives of billions, protect our natural world, and move to a cleaner, cheaper, and sustainable energy system.🌳🐝

Thank you so much to colleagues from across the House for electing me as your Chair. I can't wait to get going!⭐️ by @afzalkhanmcr

I've been with @thesecretlifeofdads down in Parliament to learn about Pints and Ponytails.🪮

Matthew and Laurence run a brilliant programme where dads can get together to learn how to do their daughters' hair and talk about their mental health - I think it's a fantastic idea.

They do sessions all over the country - keep an eye out for when they're next in Manchester on their website! ⭐ by @afzalkhanmcr

Brexit has been a disaster for young people.

My constituents have lost their right to easily work, live, and learn alongside our friends in Europe - and this has impacted the lives of young people the most.

Brexit has not been fair on young people and we must rebuild close relationships so young people can thrive. by @afzalkhanmcr

Deeply saddened to hear Manchester legend, Cllr Pat Karney has passed away.

Pat loved our city and dedicated five decades into making it the incredible place it is through local government, all while having fun. It was a real pleasure to serve as a Councillor in North Manchester alongside him.

I know Pat will be missed deeply by his loved ones, including his Labour family. by @afzalkhanmcr

For the past two decades the Youth Parliament has been an important voice in politics for young people - pushing for some brilliant policies like lowering the voting age to 16 and introducing free period products in schools.

I have written to the Culture Secretary to urge her to continuing funding this important voice in youth politics.🏫 by @afzalkhanmcr

Zia Yusuf's racist comments towards Labour's newest MP @sagalcamden were disgusting -I'll always be proud that the British people show time and time again that they reject hate like his outright. by @afzalkhanmcr
