Happy international cave and karst day! These pictures and videos are from our most recent trip to one of my favorite caves, and this is the cave that started it all for me, and for many of us. Due to averse weather conditions we decided to set up camp about .5 miles in, in one of the many large and flat rooms in the cave. It took multiple trips carrying gear in to set this up and the worst part was the 55 Lb marine RV battery that we used to power the lights and the PA speaker with an inverter. My forearms doubled in size from that. Huge thanks to everyone who came!! It was alot of fun! taken in Tennessee, USA by @agarthatribe

This is my genuine reaction to being at the bottom of TAG hall (tennessee, alabama, georgia) at the base of the deepest cave pit in america; Fantastic pit. Excuse my language but listen to the echos. I rappelled the 500ft smokey pit to get here on 4 steel rack bars. Rope was muddy asf. Initially went the wrong way from smokey and ended up exploring deeper in the cave because spinning down the rope got my sense of direction all screwed up. Found the pit bouncer cave register and signed it. Was solo while everyone else was doing smokey II taken in Georgia, USA by @agarthatribe

Checking the groundwater.

This small hole in the woods led to a 220-foot rappel into a very wet pit, heavily decorated with flowstone formations and rimstone pools. After a few days of rain or, in this case, snowmelt, the groundwater flows here, creating an enormous and magnificent waterfall.
