Wrote today at the second annual Literary Arts Festival in Downtown Lawrenceville on the Historic Courthouse Lawn. Couldn’t have asked for better outdoor festival weather. I always forget to take a picture of my work so this is the only photo I have🙈. I was soo grateful for the spot I was given and it made such a huge difference in visibility and being able to interact with people. Everyone was so generous and encouraging and it made all the difference. I looked forward to this festival all year since I missed it the last time. Seeing the literary arts and local authors celebrated and given a platform to share their work was beyond wonderful and truly refreshing.
Upcoming events //
- Not Your Mother’s Art Fest at Slowpour Brewery in DTLV on the 16th
- Haunted Halloween Party at Blackstrap Rock Hall in Gainesville on the 24th
- Halloween Party at Wild Aster Books in Chamblee on the 30th

I realize I never posted these here! These are from the Atlanta Indie Market on the Beltline this summer. A much loved day. It was my first market event in Atl, people were curious, generous and so kind to me. It gave me hope about the future of working markets and sharing my art in the city. If you know of any random spots or markets in Atlanta that you believe would mesh well with my art style please let me know. I’m also looking to work weddings this fall so if you have any avante guards friends with romantasy themed weddings send them my way❤️‍🔥😩#atlanta #beltline #typewriter #explore by @ageforlove

I’ve done some random pop ups around local downtown squares. Any suggestions on popular local towns that appreciate the arts? I have a few markets planned in the next few weeks that I’m very much looking forward to❤️‍🔥 by @ageforlove

I forgot to take pictures but yesterday was the best time. One of my all time favorite markets, and days out there. I met the most standout souls and heard the most beautiful, and bittersweet stories. Looking forward to writing again at the punk market this Saturday August 1st before my next surgery❤️‍🩹

Edit: my surgery is the 30th so I won’t make the August 1st market after all🙈 sorry for any confusion by @ageforlove

A short story in 7 words. When I went to pick this up I literally had to deal with microagressions from the lady who was making the sale for her husband who was making the sale for a friend. I almost didn’t buy this typewriter off the principle. I don’t mind being called weak because I did. But when you live in a world that’s against you sometime you learn to just ignore it. Either way, I’m grateful for my typewriter. Writing is a conduit for everything I feel, and all the words I can’t seem to say. There’s a lot of talk about how the physical affects the spiritual and how the body holds all the grief. After everything I’ve been through I couldn’t argue against it. I remember waking up one day and suddenly I couldn’t swallow large gulps, and I couldn’t take shots or drink anything straight down. I thought I was just strange. I can’t physically express myself. I can’t defend myself with spoken words. I can’t say no in compromising situations. I can’t address anything head on. I learned defending myself was pointless. I learned that no one was listening to me. Little did I know, in the midst of all those lies I believed my body was harnessing an illness that would have killed me. I don’t know what to make of it. But all I have the room to carry is gratitude that one day when I’m on the opposite end of the hospital bed I’ll know what it feels like to lie there, and carry that much more empathy. My friend sat with me for 5 hours while we scrubbed it down with car wax and simple green. After it all the rag still wouldn’t come out clean. We gave up then and there when it shined enough to my liking and I was tired of the work we did. I had forgotten the value of a hobby, and how therapeutic it is to follow a path truly befitting of you down an unfamiliar lane. by @ageforlove

Looking for events to work this fall, I’m interested in writing at weddings, parties, or for whoever would be interested in this form of performance art. My prints are typically 4x6 so they fit perfectly in 5x7 frames but I can do virtually any size a client would like. Dm me for an order or to make an appearance. This is a donation based service but I work well with any budget and a love for writing and the arts. by @ageforlove

It was a beautiful day on the beltline at the Atlanta Indie Market. It was my first time there and I’m so grateful to have been accepted as a vendor especially since I applied at the last minute. I almost fell for a vendor scam on eventbrite but luckily my bank caught onto the account I was sending a deposit to, and blocked it. I can explain more about that in another post, but I genuinely can’t believe the lengths scammers are going to these days. So much research needs to be done about every event/market promotion because more and more fake ones are posted daily to steal money from artists. Anyway, I had so much fun writing today and my heart is so full from all the beautiful stories shared with me. I’m looking forward to coming back, but I’m not sure when I’ll start writing on the street again. I’m having an open surgery on Thursday to remove cancer and although I’m sure it will all go well I know the recovery process will be long and hard. A month later I’ll have another outpatient surgery to fix my pelvic vein congestion and that should be a lot more bearable. It has been and it’s going to be a long year, but in the few months since my last surgery in February and becoming chronically ill for the majority of the year writing has been truly cathartic, challenging and formative. It feels so good to have found a medium of expression that feels like me. Familiar, and familial. Writing is the only thing I’ve always known. When spoken words fail me, I’m not empty handed in any battle because my pen forms every sentence for me. A question I get a lot lately is how I come up with words and sentences on the fly. The answer is that I listen to my intuition and stream of consciousness. I write what comes to mind first, and don’t worry about the rest. When you stress all the sentences, force yourself to find the perfect words you dampen the still small voice that knows everything about your soul. Anyway, I’m grateful for everyone that would support me on this journey and experience the beauty of words, reading and the privilege of literacy with me. taken in Freedom Park Trail at the Atlanta BeltLine by @ageforlove

A beautiful day on the square after all! I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get out there because of the rain but I kept my eye on the weather app, bet myself that I could beat it, said and prayer and headed down there. Words can’t express how grateful I am to everyone that supported me and got a poem from me. I still remember being in the 1st grade a filling my composition journal with pages and pages of original stories. To be this age and still so connected to the passion that was born with me is a gift beyond measure. I struggled through the years because I carry so many dreams. I wondered how I could do it all, and now I know that there is enough room in this life for all of my dreams. I love meeting people, I love intimacy and connection. I love freedom, and I love people. I dream of working with my hands to save lives, and share love and I’m so glad that so many people would partner with me in that mission. I don’t forget a face, or a soul and I’m so glad for everyone I met today especially in a place I have grown to love more than words can express. I’ll be back soon 🤍 taken in Downtown Lawrenceville by @ageforlove

A poem I wrote tonight while feeling moved by a homeless veteran I met yesterday. I pray he would be blessed with a home, safety, security and love. He had the most beautiful blue eyes, and was the sweetest thing. May Heaven come down and kiss him. #poetry #writercommunity #typewriter working on my set up, suggestions? by @ageforlove

I miss you despite it all and I hate that miss you and I wish I hated you more and I hate that I miss your dad but I won’t shrink myself to fit your mold so I don’t wish I was the one but I do wish I could experience a kind and settled version of you by @ageforlove
