So I've been meaning to redraw some old art when I was a kid to rekindle the whole inner child thing. So now we have Jack the Stoat (Kinda a weasel thing)... Crossover of Streets of Rage like setting and Sonic The Hedgehog... So yeah, ya girl made an OC Mobian back in '97.

Originally he was made to be like a Mr. X minion or some kind of sketchy badass-ish guy with Brass Knuckles, tho to be fair I'm not sure if I had a species in mind on concept so now he's a Stoat...

The backdrop of the original was the night club stage in SOR3 which.... I mean I was 12 lol.

Anyways, enjoy the brass knuckle wielding gay clubber Mobian!

This is my current wrap style, it's a slight variation from the ones I am taught as it's main focus in separation is on the middle two fingers from the top of the hand. This was developed when I switch between 180 and 120 cm wraps so that my patterns are consistent. I prefer 180 personally as it gives me enough leeway to target specific parts of my wrists and hands that need the most support. Remember fighters, safety first!

Realizing I hadn't done any pencil sketches in a while. Found an old Jean Claude Van Damme Guile on my feed. Good practice.

Arctic Adventure by Apogee games, 1991. Graphically, this game couldn't really compete with other platformer games released at the time, but that typically was because DOS based systems varied a LOT when it came to specs and capability. The first time I played this game was on a Tandy in my middle school typing class after finding a mysterious 5-inch floppy. I didn't know what was on it, but my kid brain remembered how to mount dos games with generic commands.

To my schoolmate and I's delight, we got this game running! But at the time we called it Mario because... platformer.

Feel like challenging yourself this endearing gem? You can find it on the Zoom platform gaming site.

Went to the Heroes Convention, got a little fired up to get some rust off while I've been settled in at my other career in the "Wacky World of Finance" - Herman Schultz has always been childhood favorite of mine. I thought in kidbrain that he looked so bad ass despite that later, I would find out he's a bit of a joke when it comes to being a villain.

Tried a couple of new techniques in shading.

It's that time of year again, I used to not really like this Holiday with all the expectations and stress that came with it. This year has taken a toll on me in some ways... but here I am with family. I hope you can spend some meaningful time with people close to you.

Looking at what I have now, hard to believe I was spending Christmas alone in a concrete office outside making 14K a year a decade ago. But part of me will always remember those lonely years of my life so that I never take for granted what can be gone in an instant.
