Lettings isn't just about properties, tenancies and renewals. At the heart of it are people.

The landlords who trust you with their investments. The tenants you support through different stages of their lives. The clients who come back to you year after year.

Those long-term relationships are what make a career in lettings so rewarding.

And they're a reminder that, in a people business, how you make people feel matters.

As your career progresses, success becomes less about what you can achieve on your own and more about the people you bring with you.

Knowing how to spot potential, build the right team and make good hiring decisions is a skill in itself, and one many leaders only appreciate once they're responsible for getting it right.

You don't have to learn every leadership lesson the hard way. A mentor who's already built and led teams can give you perspective when you're facing those decisions yourself.

Find a mentor who's already walked that path.

Then you speak to someone who's hungry to learn, asking the questions you once asked and working towards the milestones you've already reached.

Mentoring can reconnect you with your own journey, and remind you how much you've learned along the way.

Reconnect with what you love about the industry. Become an Agents Together mentor.

Sometimes the thing slowing your estate agency career down isn't a lack of ability.

It's a conversation you haven't had yet.

About the role you want. The skills you're missing. The feedback you need. Or whether the path you're currently on is actually taking you where you want to go.

Those conversations can feel uncomfortable. They're also where progress often starts.

Have an honest conversation about where your career is heading with a free Agents Together mentor.

You can be confident in what you do and still benefit from support.

Different people need different things from you.

One person needs direct feedback. Another needs confidence. Someone else needs the right question to help them reach the answer themselves.

Mentoring gives experienced estate agents the opportunity to practise those conversations with people outside their own branch or business.

And those skills come straight back into how you lead your own team.

Develop others while developing yourself. Become a mentor.
