Some moments in history are never forgotten. 💔

On 21 October 1966, at 9.13am, the Aberfan disaster claimed 144 lives, including 116 children, leaving a lasting scar on a Welsh community and the nation as a whole.

Today, the clock that stopped at that tragic moment is preserved at St Fagans National Museum of History. A small object carrying an immeasurable weight of memory.

As a Welsh business, we join people across Wales in remembering Aberfan with the deepest respect. Our thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones, the survivors, and everyone whose lives were changed by that terrible day.

60 years on, we remember every life lost. We will never forget. 🕊️

🩵 World Mental Health Day

Mental health matters, at work, at home and in our communities.

Taking time to listen, checking in with colleagues and making space for honest conversations can all help build a more supportive environment.

Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment for themselves and remember that asking for support is a sign of strength.

Let’s keep the conversation going, today and beyond.

Making a Difference Through Computer for Schools

We’re delighted to support @stephenbrown54 of Stephen J Brown Consultancy, the organiser behind Computer for Schools.

Stephen’s involvement with Computer for Schools is deeply personal. Following the loss of his late wife, Sam, to cancer, Stephen was inspired to turn a difficult experience into something positive by helping provide much needed technology to children and schools.

We’re proud to support Stephen through the @agentsgiving Grant Fund, supported by @guildofpropertyprofessionals and to help shine a light on this fantastic fundraising initiative. Read more on the @Agents_giving website 'Fundraisers Page' how to help get all children connected:👏👏👏

Hearing them cheering above anyone else is the best sound in the world!

Slaughter Squad - YOU ARE THE BEST ❤️❤️❤️❤️ (thanks @estateagent.consultancy for capturing this moment just before the end!)

This challenge has meant so much. On 27th July - on crutches for a week to walking this distance is more than I could have hoped for when I felt my calf tear whilst play 5-a-side.

And it was so worth to help contribute to Breast Cancer now - not just for Sarah’s memory but also to raise awareness for something that has directly impacted our family.

What an absolute pleasure it is to be here 💖

Well done to everyone from Women in Estate Agency and Agent together who took part and if you wish to contribute - the link is in the bio 💖

Tomorrow’s the day. 💜

After all the planning, training and probably a few conversations about sensible footwear, Team WiEA Together is ready for the Thames Path Ultra Challenge.

Some will walk 25km. Some will take on 50km.

All will be doing it to support Breast Cancer Now and help make a difference for people affected by breast cancer.

And we’ll be carrying Sarah Edmundson’s memory with us along the way.

To everyone walking: you’ve got this.

To everyone cheering from the sidelines: thank you.

And if you’d like to give the team one final boost before they set off, there’s still time to donate. Every contribution makes those miles mean even more.

💜 Come on, Team WiEA Together!

Donate via the link in our bio.

On 12 September, Team WiEA Together will take on 25km and 50km of the Thames Path Ultra Challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

We’ll do the walking. But we need your help to make those miles count.

Every donation will support Breast Cancer Now and its work for people affected by breast cancer, helping to fund vital research and support.

We’ll also be walking in memory of Sarah Edmundson, who means so much to the WiEA and Agents Together communities.

So, if you’ve been following the team, cheering us on or simply want to support an incredible cause, this is your chance to get behind us.

💜 Back the team. Support Breast Cancer Now. Donate via the link in our bio.

Gorgeous to see my amazing business mentor Angi today from @agents_together in London 💛. We had a long overdue catch-up and so easy getting the Elizabeth Line from Reading to Tottenham Court Road! Definitely recommend this lovely cafe/restaurant too @honeyandcodaily
Feel very blessed to have met such a great mentor and woman in business through the incredible @agents_together who years later I get to call my friend 😍 . She also has a fab podcast I’d recommend called ‘Now What’ and is just the best! Back to work this afternoon and then time for my fave tv show A House Through Time, on the BBC and which I’d really recommend, it’s just fascinating! 🏡🦊

50KM. One big challenge. One very important reason. 🩷

This September, I’m joining Women in Estate Agency (WiEA) and Agents Together for their 50km walk in support of Breast Cancer Now.

We’re walking to keep Sarah’s memory alive, to support families living with breast cancer and to raise as much as we can for an incredible cause.

For me, there’s a challenge within the challenge too…

Three and a half weeks ago I tore my calf, so getting myself ready for 50km has given me a pretty sizeable target to focus on! 👟

I know I’ve asked people to sponsor me for challenges before, so I don’t take anyone’s support for granted.

But if you can spare a couple of quid, share the post or simply cheer us on, it would genuinely mean a lot. 🩷 link 🔗 Link in bio

Now I’d better get walking…

𝗜 𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝗴𝗼.

At first, it felt like everything had stopped but it hadn’t.

I couldn’t run, yet I could still swim, water jog, lift weights, train core, work on mobility and stretch. My progress didn’t rely on one activity because my plan never relied on one activity.

It didn’t teach me anything new, it just reminded me why having a process matters.

Estate agency marketing is no different.

If your entire strategy depends on Rightmove and a few boards outside sold properties, what happens when one of those channels slows down? (And let’s face it they already have… a long time ago!)

The strongest brands aren’t built on one tactic but on a collection of consistent activities that reinforce each other.

That could include:
• Email marketing
• Google and AI search
• Video
• Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
• PR
• Reviews
• Local partnerships
• Community involvement
• Direct mail
• Events
• Podcasts
• Educational content
Just to mention a few…

You don’t have to do everything but you do need a plan and processes to ensure consistency of marketing efforts…

Whatever you do - activity should be measurable, so you understand what’s creating awareness, generating instructions and delivering a return on your investment.

Marketing isn’t about finding one thing that works.

It’s about building a system that keeps working when one thing doesn’t.

Next steps for me… get back walking and get through The Walk for Sarah with @agents_together & @womeninestateagencyltd

Had a great day at PMOne yesterday and it was great hearing from all the different speakers and seeing loads of familiar faces🙌🏼

But, the highlight for me was spending some more time with my mentee @oualichriqymnaea with @agents_together

We chatted life, estate agency, football and topped it off with a Nando’s of course🙏🏼

If you’re not already a mentee or mentor with Agents Together, make sure to check it out, I promise you won’t regret it👌🏼

P.S. If in doubt, the answer is always Lee Sharpe😉

🛶AGENTS GIVING DRAGON BOAT RACE 2026🛶

The Agents Giving Dragon Boat Race was about teamwork, friendship, laughter, getting completely soaked, and raising money for some fantastic causes.

It was about bringing people together from across the property industry.

I'm incredibly proud that the Boys Club brought home the gold, but I'm even prouder of what this group represents. A community about supporting men's mental health within estate agency. Where people look out for one another, have honest conversations, and remind each other that no one has to tackle challenges alone.

A huge thank you to everyone who organised, supported, donated, raced, cheered from the sidelines, and helped make today such a success.

Days like today are a reminder that when good people come together with a shared purpose, amazing things can happen.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I've got a few muscles that will be reminding me about today's victory for the the next week! 🐉🥇🚣‍♂️
