It’s a very moving moment to announce that our new documentary BALTIC UXO is ready to meet its first audiences!✨✨✨

At the end of October, we will celebrate our World Premiere at @jihlava_idff, in the competition program Opus Bonum.💫

And in November, the European Film Festival @scanorama.lt will host our national Lithuanian premiere.🐚

The film's journey started around six years ago when the directors, Agnė Dovydaitytė and Alexander Belinski, came to us with an idea based on extensive research they had already done. We were impressed and inspired, so we decided to carry on this cinematic journey together, rethinking our co-existence with nature and various inhabitants of the Baltic region, alongside this legacy of war.

We are sharing and celebrating this moment together with an amazing team🫶

When Vilnius turned rainy, I got the urge to explore the cuisines of warmer climates — and that’s how I found myself visiting this Portuguese restaurant for the first time.

@galodoporto has been successfully operating on one of Vilnius’ main tourist streets, right by the Gates of Dawn, for years. A classic for many, but a new spot for me 🤭

Very helpful and caring service, a colourful atmosphere, and a beautiful outdoor area that must be especially lovely in summer.

Following the recommendations, I tried:
Beef cheek croquettes,
stuffed baby squid,
grilled octopus,
lamb skewer with chorizo,
and a couple of desserts.

With so many new places constantly opening, it’s always nice to make time for the timeless classics — and to see why certain menus continue to work for so many guests, year after year, without the need for constant change or reinvention. taken in Vilnius, Lithuania by @agnedovi

Some places seem like such an obvious choice for eating out that, somehow, you keep putting off going there. @elgatonegrovilnius was one of those places for me.

A very lively Mexican spot, proudly carrying a Bib Gourmand plaque from the @michelinguide.

Friendly, patient, and knowledgeable service, colourful and tasty food, a buzzy atmosphere full of satisfied faces, great cocktails, and really good value for money.

A very promising new opening in Vilnius — @tiichi.bistro by @alexhma 👏

Lithuania has recently witnessed a real boom in Mexico-inspired restaurants, with several new openings exploring this almost painfully familiar, yet one of the most “butchered”, cuisines.

Few do it authentically. Even fewer do it authentically well.

I have never been to Mexico, but I felt that @tiichi.bistro gave me a pretty good glimpse of what I’m missing.

A short menu with a wide range of fantastic homemade salsas, exceptional hand-rolled tortillas, and several varieties of corn celebrated throughout the menu.

A cozy, small place with only a handful of tables, yet they did find space for a mill (!) (last photo). That’s dedication worth celebrating and supporting.

And did I mention it was delicious? Well, it was.

My favourite — TACOS DORADOS DE TINGA (first photo):
Crispy chicken tacos, morita chilli adobo sauce, grilled onions, queso fresco, sour cream, and fresh salsa.

Don’t share. Take the whole portion for yourself or regret it later.

It’s fairly easy for two hungry people to try the whole menu in one sitting. So my only hope is that they change it often and give us even more reasons to return. ❤️ taken in Vilnius, Lithuania by @agnedovi

Lively sharing plates spot of Vilnius @tempo_v39
Favourite from the menu - roast beef with zhoug and amba sauce, pine nuts.

Zhoug - Middle Eastern sauce made with fresh cilantro, jalapeños, cardamom, cumin and olive oil.
Amba - spiced and savory pickled mango sauce.

Great fries 🤤

Marinated mussels with sambal sauce reminded me so much of Christmas Eve herring dish with tomato and onion sauce. Controversial but finished the plate 🤭

Sambal - chili-based sauce from Indonesian, Malaysian, and Singaporean cuisines.

Great place to come for a lively informal meal to share and record music lightening up the mood. by @agnedovi
