We couldn’t have dreamed of a better venue for the Baltic premiere of Baltic Uxo than the @tallinnblacknightsff! Doc@PÖFF Baltic Competition.🐺

On this occasion, together with directors Agnė Dovydaitytė and Alex Belinski, we extend our warmest regards and profound gratitude to our wonderful, all-around co-producers in Latvia, @antrons and Līga Gaisa from Air Productions, with whom we've had the pleasure of working on previous projects and are always delighted to embark on a new cinematic journey together.⛅

A round of applause also goes out to everyone who contributed to the film in Latvia and Estonia, especially colourist Oļegs Aleksejevs, composer @toms.aunins, VFX supervisor Māris Āboliņš and his entire team, production manager in Latvia @zaklineenilkaz, Ronin camera operator @peterkollanyi, and the man who can solve anything, Estonian producer Ivo Felt from @allfilm_filmstudio in Estonia.

Film production in Latvia is supported by @Kinofonds – thank you!
Other financiers include @lithuanianfilmcentre and @moinfilmfoerderung.
The film is also co-produced by @Funferfilm.

We look forward to seeing you all on 11 November at 6.30pm at Apollo Kino Plaza in Tallinn!💞

It’s a very moving moment to announce that our new documentary BALTIC UXO is ready to meet its first audiences!✨✨✨

At the end of October, we will celebrate our World Premiere at @jihlava_idff, in the competition program Opus Bonum.💫

And in November, the European Film Festival @scanorama.lt will host our national Lithuanian premiere.🐚

The film's journey started around six years ago when the directors, Agnė Dovydaitytė and Alexander Belinski, came to us with an idea based on extensive research they had already done. We were impressed and inspired, so we decided to carry on this cinematic journey together, rethinking our co-existence with nature and various inhabitants of the Baltic region, alongside this legacy of war.

We are sharing and celebrating this moment together with an amazing team🫶

The end of an era. After 12 years, @dine_restoranas closed its doors with a final, deep-dive masterclass into the soul of Northern Rhone.

We blind tasted through TOP examples from each of the 5 main appellations. Here is the essence of the night:

CROZES-HERMITAGE: the gateway to Northern Rhones smoky and meaty Syrah universe. Chapoutier's Les Varonniers '15 demonstrated that this appellation is capable of.

SAINT-JOSEP: Precision and pepper. Gonon ‘10 is simply the benchmark for savory, peppery fluid granitic Syrah. Chave '13 showcased pure black olive tapenade and meaty earthy tones.

CORNAS: Pure emotion. Allemand ‘15 was the pinnacle of flowery elegance (WOTN), while Clape ‘12 brought that raw, bloody, old-school soul. Mindowing flight of two stylistically very different wines yet both had this direct-to-the-heart link.

COTE-ROTIE: A clash of titans. Jamet ‘15 showed focused, analytical depth against the exuberant, flashy power of Guigal’s La Landonne. The great Rostaing's Landonne was somewhere in the middle of these in character.

HERMITAGE: The monolith. Faurie ‘10 proved why it’s the gold standard - structure, spice and focus. Guigal's Ex-Voto '03 - raw power, vanilla and tobacco. Sadly the iconic '90 La Chapelle was corked...

And thats a perfect bittersweet farewell to a place where wine always was a centerpiece. Cheers to the next chapter, @arminas_darasevicius !
