the van is the vessel 🚐 we DIY’d our van during the pandemic. it was a lesson in patience, in leaning on community, and trust. lots of obstacles, hard days, internet rabbit holes that were well worth it. traveling in the van has unlocked adventure and perspective in ways we never thought possible, and we can’t wait to share our adventures with you. thanks for coming along this ride with us. 🫶🏽 by @agroeverywhere

A museum AND an art market? Say less. 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ We decided to check out the 19th annual Los Angeles Printers Fair on a whim, and it turned out to be the best way to spend an afternoon. Held at the International Printing Museum in Carson, this event is a print lover’s dream. Historic printing presses in action, volunteers helping visitors make their own prints, hands-on workshops, and rows upon rows of artists selling their work. We came in with zero expectations and left with a handful of printed treasures (and a newfound appreciation for just how much work goes into making them). If you love quirky places, local art, or discovering something new in your own backyard, put this one on your radar! PS if you’re seeing this on October 17, the fair runs until October 18. One thing about Filipinos? We’re gonna show up for food. 🇵🇭 Nick and I made our way to Filled Market at Smorgasburg LA to celebrate Filipino American History Month, and naturally, we came with a longgggggg list of things we wanted to eat. We started with cebuchon pita, made our way through adobo chicken tenders and bolo fries, cooled off with guava matcha, calamansi cream affogato, and some REALLY good turon ice cream. The lines were no joke, so at one point we had to divide and conquer. getting to see so many Filipino-owned businesses and people coming together over food is always a treat. A little art history, a little desert magic. 🎨🌵 If you’re planning a trip to New Mexico, put Ghost Ranch on your list. Located in Abiquiú, this incredible landscape was a longtime home and creative inspiration for Georgia O’Keeffe. And while the scenery alone is worth the trip, there’s so much more to explore, from the ranch’s history and museums to its hiking trails. Still thinking about Mesa Verde. 🥹 From exploring ancient cliff dwellings to learning about the Ancestral Pueblo people who built them, this was one of those trips that reminded us why we love traveling in the first place.
