Never thought I’d get to write a concerto for Yuja Wang.
After almost a year of writing, “La Diaspora” came to life, a work that represents my current creative state, by bringing traditions from classical, jazz and Latin music into a 20 min single movement work.

I was very fortunate to spend a year working closely with Yuja on my compositions and arrangements for these concerts, and I’m glad and happy to have developed an incredible musical and human connection with her.
I want to thank @yujawang.official for her trust, friendship and incredible artistry in each one of the performances.

To @poemusicnyc for your incredible musicianship and friendship, and for trusting me with the creative direction and @gghdrums for always advocating and supporting my art and work, and for, without a doubt, giving me all the platforms and connections for my music and career to grow.

To the amazing team of artists and producers that made this possible:
@jesusricardoofficial , @rubenrengelviolin , @ivanllanesmusic , @raulrios.trumpet, @dukeofnate, @cubanbassacademy, @stevehackmanmusic, @teddyabrams, @jonathanhoehntrumpet

Special thanks to my managers @grahamparkernyc and @outwithadam for their support in this project.

Thank you to all the incredible venues for giving us a platform to share our music! 🤍
@caramoor
@theargyros
@bravovail
@vilarpac
@aspenmusicfest

Lastly, thank you to my beautiful wife, who was always the motor for me to create; and with whom without her support, this wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you mi amor ❤️

I was warming up and suddenly my mind went off and started wandering towards weird places… this might be my next piano solo piece… by @ahmedalomm

This is slowly becoming one of my favorite works by Bach, still a work in progress!
