Ireland, I would totally live in you. In all my travels, this might be the first country where I truly felt “at home.” The people, the sights, the humour, and perhaps most importantly the folk music, touched me deep down in my heart of hearts.

I also had the best travel crew of all time: @_rachellock, @jakey_woodhead, @cpagniello , @nathan.billault (aka The Mountain Foggers & The Four Fudge Deal).

Thank you @shanestevenmusic for playing bluegrass music all the way across the pond.

The Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu (3 Days, ~70km, Peak 4600m) Part 2

Could not have asked for a better group of people to share the experience with #zugarbabies

Note: Do not dress as I did whilst at Machu Picchu (it will be noted by bystanders), I ran out of clean clothes in the last leg of the hike and ended up looking like a Canadian ragamuffin taken in Salkantay Trek, Peru by @aidan.knights

The Amazon Rainforest, Iquitos, Peru. Due to the agile nature of most of the critters, it was difficult to capture some of the most special moments on camera (I’m looking at you, football-sized frog). Missing you Thailand, and the dear companions I made along the way…

…Especially you @jannispepo 😎

This experience was huge for me, not only for the cultural and aesthetic novelty of an unfamiliar country, but also in terms of education and self-reflection. Being welcomed by the Thai people, and being made to feel safe and mutually respected was astonishing. I can’t imagine there are a more genial and courteous people out there. The trip also became surprisingly introspective (despite my programming) and taught me a lot more about the nature of my thought processes, and how I framed myself against the world around me. I’m so grateful for what I pulled from this experience, and I left it a more complete and humble person.
