When I was about 10 I wrote a birthday letter to Asha that said something along the lines of:

“Happy birthday Asha! I hope you had a good day. That’s for being there for me always, I know we get in a lot of fights; and even though I’m jealous of how easily you make friends and get along with people I still like you. Anyways brethren, have a good birthday <3”

Years later, I don’t have much to add but I will say this:

If anyone needs a best friend that’s beautiful, kind, loving, as headstrong as they are wise, as grounded as much as they are up in the clouds, can encourage you while telling you how it is, can let you know who you are before you even know yourself, and will never give up on you and always be there for you…

Too bad, I don’t like sharing.
