KNEE REHAB with myself? @aidankoferldpt

Been dealing with nagging knee pain for about a year now…been focusing a ton on getting back to Olympic lifts for the fun of it, but the pain always got in my way. Finally able to get back to it without feeling nervous.

Forced to get creative

Patient had some difficulty with gaining active terminal knee extension, but he was able to do it when I held my hand down on the femur. We didn’t have an ankle weight heavy enough to make a difference, and I had separate patients to attend to.

I give you, the heel pop-omatic.

Mobilization belt tied at the distal femur around the bed allows for AAROM terminal knee extension. A great progression off of this is providing assistance from the strap, then releasing the tension and holding the position actively. by @aidankoferldpt
