Holiday Time!! I’m taking my son off to a remote indonesian island for 3 weeks, and will be back home in the studio around Oct 18th. I’m planning on having a break from the socials, to try and stay really present and totally reset. A huge amount of massive projects locked in for as soon as i’m back, going to be a crazy busy end of the year so i’m going to make the most of this little break. New flamingo commission, for a client that loved the first ‘dancing flamingos’ but missed out when it sold fast. Im always open to making custom pieces for situos like that. I’l never repeat a piece, wouldn’t know how as most are the result of chaotic experiments and chance, but very often make something with a similar subject, style, composition, colours etc. ps think im overdue for a flamingo tattoo! 🦩 ❤️💪 by @aidanleesmith

Look what I just found in a studio cleanup! A one off kintsugi inspired hand embellished print, with gold leaf. I made 3 of these of different prints earlier this year, and this is the last one available. I'd also LOVE to make another, so if you would like to see a specific print torn up and re-assembled with beautiful reflective gold, let me know and we can make it happen. 50x50cm, so this one will fit any store bought frame in that size. Buy it, open it, chuck it in a frame, hang it and be a G. by @aidanleesmith

Quick lil studio tour. Constantly have people asking to visit, or get a peak of what its like, well HERE YA GO! Middle of a work day, shit everywhere, 6 projects on at once, no beautiful social media filter or clean ups for the camera. Just raw art shit. This is what its supposed to be like!! Sorry i dont have on a sexy gown in front of a beautiful well lit blank canvas talking inspirational quotes about escaping the matrix. Spose i could afford to rent a nice studio space, but i prefer to spend the rare money i get on bikes, boats and beers. ROCK AND ROLL! by @aidanleesmith

Throwback Thursday all the way to 2018 and this Tupac piece. Only 3 years into my art journey and no idea what i was doing (still don't). I mean, we all know Diddy did it right? Either way, glad to see his supposed killer found, been listening to his tunes again and couldn't be loving it more. Actually tatted 'THUG LIFE' myself on my thigh one drunken night when my son was born. 'The Hate you Give Little Infants F*cks Everybody'. RIP Legend

‘Nude in Bloom: Chrysalis’. A massive 152x101cm. Textured impasto acrylics over 2cm thick, painted entirely with a palette knife. Love the contrast of the almost sculptural, hyper-coloured acrylic body against the smooth, vignetted monochromatic oil background. Absolutely pops, and changes with the light in a room as the little peaks of paint cast their won shadows. Check the comments for the detailed texture shots. Looking for a forever home. Some photos from 2017, nearly a decade ago!! Such a simpler time, painting out of a tiny bedroom in an old weatherboard farm house on a hill at a dairy surrounded by cows. No responsibilities of any kind, financial or flesh, and the ultimate freedom to experiment and paint absolutely anything my imagination could come up with. I swear I look about 15 years old, full of hope and enthusiasm, all the crazy experiences, scars, broken bones, burns, tattoos and madness of the last decade have aged me about 30 years, but have I learned from any of them? Probably not haha. What a rollercoaster. I do think its time to experiment with jewels, fabrics, feathers, sewing layers and layers together and everything in between, like this body of work tho. I also think i'm ready for a bucket hat again. Onwards and upwards! by @aidanleesmith

What's going on? Is mercury f*cking saturn's wife in the retrograde motel or something?!?
'Insomnia'. I painted this back in 2018 when my son was born. Oil and charcoal on canvas. I reckon i've had a max of 2hrs sleep every night for the last 3 nights. What's going on?
