POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s been a really dreary day in Virginia Beach…and it’s these days that I am so thankful that I decided to ditch the millennial gray. I love color. I have *always* loved color and I’ve really embraced it the last few years.

I love finding lesser known artists from around the world. I buy what brings me joy because that is truly is priceless.

These are special but I’ll share stories behind a few of them.

Slide 4: My babies at Par 3 Contest. @marymooresfineart gifted this to me at a @thebeginagainfoundation gala. Her daughter, Sophia, is a sepsis survivor that we were blessed to meet and support.

I only kind of wish that I hadn’t already done my makeup because the tears were real.

Slide 9: Highly recommend putting funny animal pictures in your guest bathroom. There’s not a single person who doesn’t comment on them. ChatGPT for the win on this one (although I hear Claude is the way to go now 😉)

Slide 10: I fell in love with this @fionaslaterart_ piece when I was pregnant with Eva. It didn’t originally have a little girl in, but she added her for me. My miracle girl after my miracle sepsis survival.

Slide 12: I have always loved and wanted to support Australian Indigenous art. When I found @sharla_brown_art with her pastel colors there was no way I could pass it up.

Slide 14: I first discovered Lucy May Creative a few years ago in a small cafe in Australia. Her pieces were filled with joy. And then I found out she was 13 years old. That original piece lives in our Australia home. She’s 16 now and when I saw a piece small enough to put on my suitcase, I knew it had to come home.

Slide 16: My favorite souvenir from traveling abroad will always be artwork. Is there anymore more special than a sidewalk artists on the Seine in Paris or an old man sitting outside your restaurant on Amalfi coast?

And then there are slides 19 and 20:

A few weeks ago when I had Covid, my program director for @thebeginagainfoundation sent me a text that she had left something on my porch that would make me “smile big.”

Hand cut butterflies from @chkd_kids as thanks for our support certainly did that and more 🦋
