What is music without sound?

Remedy is intentional about sound: we want you to hear and feel the music - every detail, every frequency. Nothing creates that experience like a high-fidelity sound system.

🔊 Hi-Fi sound systems made legendary New York parties such as The Loft and Paradise Garage gain their iconic status in club history. These parties were known for sound that would invite you to dance. Hi-Fi sound systems were the key ingredient which ignited dancers' imagination to express themselves to the music.

🔥 Next week, Remedy will host the @goldenloungesoundsystem : established in 2018, the Golden Lounge Sound System is a handbuilt analogue system inspired by New York dance culture. The sounds of the Golden Lounge paired with the selections of @aidy_west will bring the feeling of a New York dancefloor to Bedford.

Big up @goldenloungesoundsystem we cannot wait to hear the system at Dom Polaki 🫶

🩰 Come dance with us next week! Get your tickets at

See you on the dancefloor 💛

Comment “EPISODE” for a DM with a link to the episode

This week on Once A DJ, we sit down with Aidy West from @vinylunderground - a man who’s been at the heart of underground dance music for over three decades.
From attending Fresh ‘86 at just 14 years old to starting a record shop from his parents’ spare bedroom, shipping directly from Detroit when London couldn’t get the records, and surviving vinyl’s darkest days with nothing but passion and a phone line to Chicago.

We cover things like
- The £5,000 bum bag trip across America
- Walking into the Mecca that is Underground Resistance HQ unannounced
- Running a mail-order business before the internet existed
- When vinyl “died” and turnover dropped to £50k
- The moment it all came full circle in 2009
- Why DJs in Soho were calling Northampton for their records

This is the story of what happens when you refuse to compromise on the music you believe in - even when it means playing the long game for 30 years. taken in Vinyl Underground by @aidy_west
