Meet our beautiful art department, a group of people who worked tirelessly to bring @iludoss_ ’ and my insane imagination to life.

@aif_albin came in at the last minute as a set dresser, and I could not be more grateful for her. Her attention to detail and dark imagination took the set to another level. The set dressing for Big Break was a big lift, and I don’t actually think we could have done it without her.

@iamdanimalz first joined the production as a PA but soon became the right hand of Ludo and Aurora and an invaluable part of building and dressing the set. She jumped in, understood the world we were trying to create, and got to work. I actually barely saw her on set because she was always working hard on stringing up intestines, hanging jerky, or organizing books.

@studioputter worked closely with me behind the scenes and created all of the horror/sfx props that were on set. From negotiating how many body parts we could fit into jars to in-depth discussions about how to cut skin, our messages out of context would have us looking very suspicious. Without her, big break would simply be a short film, without the horror.

Roderik has been a part of Big Break since the very beginning. He is the definition of above and beyond; he made a few custom pieces for this film and dug through many thrift stores for the rest. Oftentimes stuck away in the attic ironing, doing last-minute alterations, or staining a shirt with cold coffee, Rik is the brains behind each character’s look and a huge part of how these characters came to life.

@kareguai was our resident hair and makeup artist. Locked up in her own little office, oftentimes the only calm area on the whole set. Nissy achieved the impossible every day: doing hair and makeup for five actors. Not only is she a joy to be around and is incredibly kind, Nissy has such an attention to detail that every winged liner was always on point.
