paris in september. ✨✨✨

📍stayed in the 17th arrondissement for a week.
📍highly recommend. it was so quiet, clean, and in close proximity to the metro.
📍the Parisian aesthetic was so dreamy.
📍everything I needed was in walking distance( wine shops, markets, boutiques, cafes, laundry, etc.)
📍the boutique hotel was quaint, lovely balcony and amazing view.
📍Location so ideal!! Only 7-10 minutes from the Eiffel Tour, Champs Elysses, Monmarte, Louvre, etc.

More tips and recaps to come.✨✨

so opulent. ✨🥂

Versailles recap below⬇️⬇️⬇️

📍Versailles was one of the most opulent places I’ve ever visited.
📍Missed my tour bus time and had to catch a train. Lol I chose waiting in line for my favorite croissant over getting to my pick up location @ Pullman hotel on time.
📍But the metro is super easy to navigate and it was a quick train ride from the metro a block away from Pullman hotel to Versailles.(30 minute train ride.)
📍Bought a skip the line ticket and it was totally worth it. Walked right in at my scheduled time. Otherwise, The wait would have been so long. The line was wrapped outside the palace.
📍Also worth purchasing the audio guide if you don’t purchase a group tour guide excursion.
📍Spent around 2.5 hrs walking through the Palace and the Gardens.
📍Wear sneakers b/c lots of walking& no one has time for feet hurting. I didn’t see a flip flop or heel at all lol.
📍Hall of Mirrors was beautiful but one of the most crowded rooms.
📍My favorite part of Versailles was the Gardens. Would have spent more time in the garden vs the palace if I visited again.

Life doesn’t owe us anything. And yet, life gives.

Sometimes so graciously. Not because life is always gentle or beautiful….it isn’t.

But there are moments when life is so sweet with us…full of beauty, tenderness, warmth, love, and just enough magic to make it all feel a little unreal.

And when I really stop to think about that…how small I am in the scale of this enormous universe, and how much beauty I still get to encounter….it truly humbles me.

I’m realizing part of the gift is simply paying attention.

Being present enough to recognize the sweetness while it’s here.
To notice the beauty, the love, the kindness, the graciousness.
To not move through life so quickly that we pass right by the very things that make it feel magical.

Because the more I pay attention, the more I realize just how much there is to treasure.

These moments this summer were that for me.

A gift to experience, notice and treasure.

Welcome to Saint-Rémy. 🤍

A week here, solo. Every day was beautiful, but there was something about this one….a morning lost in the vineyard, then roaming the town for the rest of the day. It felt like a dream I never wanted to wake up from.

quiet enough, finally, to notice the rhythm I was already a part of…

this sweet port was everything and more for my solo week in Hyères…💗💗🫶🏽🫶🏽

I started every morning with these beautiful orange, pink and purple sunrises, wading in my port, having breakfast on the beach and sunbathing. some days I’d eventually find a different beach to explore. other days I never left the port.

I’d spend the entire day there reading, going in for dips, laying in the sun, floating in the water, sun beaming on my face, daydreaming … repeat.

my days were so simple, but they felt so full.

the little pleasures….local rosé, Camargue salt and fresh olive oil for my charcuterie and fromage boards. nights with the balcony door open just to feel the breeze.

I tucked my phone away, used my gut as a clock and let the sun moving across the sky remind me when to eat or when it was time to move. somewhere in those simple days, I lost track of time and forgot about my day-to-day life for a while.

the beginning of two weeks of opening myself up to the unknown.

this was the reset I truly needed. ❤️

Porquerolles wasn’t part of my original plan for my adventure through the South of France.

My receptionist at my hotel in Antibes told me about this little island off the coast…(the last day as I was checking
out & rushing to make my train for Hyères)

She described it as the Caribbean of France lol : blue water, beautiful beaches and great wine… she’s speaking my language likeeee….

I was sold.

So I gave it a day during my 5 days in Hyères to visit.

Ferry over. Bike rented. And then I was off.

I biked across the island, swam in clear blue water framed by pine trees, stopped for cherries, fruits for beach snacks along the way, passed a gorgeous vineyard, had shrimp pasta and local rosé for lunch, and wandered in @fondationcarmignac for the most stunning barefoot art exhibition.

One of the highlights of my time in France….
And somehow, I hadn’t planned any of it.

Maybe the goal isn’t to plan every part of the experience. It’s to know what matters to you, then leave enough room to discover it in ways you couldn’t have planned.

Thank you, Porquerolles. 💗💗

To the last summer of my twenties…..🥂🌸🐚⛱️

pt 2 of 5 days of back to back beach/ beach clubbing in the south of France I meannnn 🙈🫶🏽

💌

For most of my twenties, the future seemed to function almost like a destination.

Not because I wasn’t living …I was. But somewhere in the back of my mind was always a picture of where it was all going.

What life might look like, what would come together, who would be there.

This summer, I think I loosened my grip on that picture.

There were days I spent by the sea with nowhere else I needed to be.
Days that were beautiful simply because I was there to experience them.

And I started to understand that a life doesn’t become meaningful when the missing pieces arrive. It is already happening.

Maybe the future isn’t a destination at all.

Maybe there are things we can plan for and things we can hope for, but there is also so much of life we can’t know until we live our way into it.

So I’m learning to leave a little more room for life to reveal itself.

To go toward the places and environments that feel right to me, without needing to know exactly what they’ll lead to or who I’ll find there.

Whomever I meet there, I meet there. Whatever unfolds from there, I’ll meet that too.

Still dreaming. Still planning.

Just holding the picture a little more loosely.

💌 More on what the last summer of my twenties revealed to me in my full summer letter, coming soon to Mhoonlight.🌛✨ taken in Antibes, Côte D'azur by @aim4themhoon

Some places, even on vacation, feel like home almost instantly. You find a rhythm.

That’s what I loved about Antibes. The warmth, the slowness, the ease of it. You could come as you are, connect with the sea, connect with people, and slowly fall into your own little routines.

Somewhere between the early mornings, long days by the sea, familiar faces, and conversations with people who had called Antibes home their entire lives, I stopped feeling like I was just visiting.

I don’t think home is always a place.

Sometimes it’s a feeling.

Sometimes it’s familiarity.

Sometimes it’s a rhythm.

Antibes felt like home.
