Tonight’s gala celebration for @nylivearts was a beautiful reminder of the power of art, performance, and community. Thank you to Dave Archuletta for inviting me to the #BloombergPhilanthropies table 🙏🏾

I loved running into friends throughout the evening, including @hankwillisthomas, who came with his beautiful 7-year-old daughter, @chamberschris, @aim4themhoon, as well as @noelleheriveaux, @sophiaherx, @christinegoppel, @amanda.krische (with her elegant dance), and my cousin @suneetalove. Congratulations to @samiranasr and @mickalenethomas, who were honored tonight 🤩

One of the most moving moments of the evening was my brother @samorapinderhughes’s tribute to our beloved @saraharison — full of tenderness, humanity, and grace ❤️

Thank you Bill T. Jones and Bjorn Amelan for bringing us all together for such a meaningful night. #nylivearts 🌈

Iris van Herpen honored at this year’s Brooklyn Museum Artist Ball

I feel like every dress seems to finds the grace in organisms like insects or sea creatures, and more ephemeral parts of nature like smoke. Woww—A major artist.

On view, and exhibited expertly, at BKM now through December + thank you Swiss Beatz for DJing despite a dislocated arm??!??

Jean-Michel Basquiat Way 💚 Freshly unveiled on Great Jones St, Manhattan

—The very block of his former studio where he blasted Max Roach, where he shouted out the windows to his friends to join him for ramen, where he stayed up until the morning engrossed in four paintings at once

Grateful to be with every New Yorker who came out to share this moment. Love you forever, NYC!!! And my entiiiiiireee family #JeanineHeriveaux @lisanebasquiat @jessicakellybasquiat @noelleheriveaux

The smoke has cleared!!
After six years away from publicly showing my work, I returned with a joint exhibition alongside @ainsleyburrowsart
#InPonderanceAndPlay

To see how my work resonated with so many left me both grounded and lifted. What I’m doing made sense. They got it.
To my new collectors and buyers; thank you for your support and for seeing something in my work worth living with.
To the curator @noelleheriveaux , thank you for the vision! That MF came out dope!! To @aim4themhoon @rodrigobettencourtdacamara_art @sophiaherx and more… thank you for keeping it all together behind the scenes.
To @tastemynoel and @passion.is .. y’all already know what it is!! Love y’all!

And thank you to @lisbona_santuario_galleria for giving us the space to bring it all to life.

This moment meant everything.
