This curved hem (or flat, if you so desire) tee is the perfect companion to your daily coffee run, for throwing on over your work out gear for going to and from pilates (how I'm personally wearing it), for lounging while traveling, and everything in between. ⁠

As always with my patterns, the #LoungeRoomRaglan is inclusively sized for 30-66" full bust, and features optional bust darts so that curved hem stays where it ought to be if you are knitting that view. Choose between hem and sleeve options for a perfectly customized look. ⁠

Today is the day! Comfort Silk Linen, our flagship fingering weight yarn, is now available for purchase. ⁠

The result of years of dreaming of our ideal summer yarn, Comfort Silk Linen is our daily workhorse for lightweight knits. It is a fingering weight yarn with 400 yards to 100g in each hank. ⁠
⁠
Here are some of the things we love about it: ⁠
⁠
✨️ Wool and silk provide thermal regulation, while linen adds even more breathability.⁠
✨️ 50% wool means that it has plenty of bounce back and knits up nearly like a full wool yarn, while still maintaining its summer yarn qualities with silk and linen.⁠
✨️ This yarn is fingering weight, but has plenty of “bloom.” 22.5 micron count Merino makes it next to skin friendly for summer garments, accessories, blankets, and baby knits alike.⁠
✨️ The silk and linen take up the dye differently from the Merino, creating a slightly heathered appearance and a lot of depth when the fabric is worked up.⁠
✨️ Slubs of silk add a pop of sheen to the finished fabric.⁠

When we were planning our launch of my in-house yarn, Comfort Silk Linen, I knew I wanted to ask designers I admired to make something in our yarn! ⁠
⁠
@samantha_guerin_design was one of the first names on our list, and her finished pattern Early Light is incredibly beautiful, lightweight, and elegant to wear. ⁠
⁠
She knit it in the colorway Forget-Me-Not, and IMO her use of the yarn makes its qualities shine--50% merino, 25% mulberry silk, and 25% linen makes for a smooth hand and lightweight, easy to wear fabric. ⁠

Last year, I got really into fleece processing and after working with Cormo from Ortmann farm, I knew I wanted more of this fiber! I've worked with Nancy from Ortmann farm and Kathryn at Ewetopia Fiber Mill to bring you Montana Cormo. ⁠
⁠
Montana Cormo by Aimee Sher Makes is a single-flock, breed specific yarn. It was gently milled woolen-spun style into this plump and round, 3-ply DK weight beauty in 4 colors. ⁠
⁠
We've blended 3 fleece colors available into 4 delightful, totally natural and undyed colors. ⁠
⁠
From 001 (cream), 002 (light gray), 003 (medium gray), to 004 (charcoal, a deep gray-brown) this beautiful and fluffy Cormo was processed as gently as possible, making it quite different from other yarns we carry. ⁠
⁠
Being a farm yarn, Montana Cormo has a bit of VM (vegetable matter) remaining in it, because of the minimal treatment on it. But it also means that the beautiful fine Cormo fiber retains its character. ⁠
⁠
I'll have a very limited quantity of this yarn at A Woolen Affair in NY next week, with some going online on my website the week after. This is a small batch yarn, so we don't have a lot of it! ⁠

My latest knitting pattern release, the Cafe Socks DK, comes in sizes Baby to Adult L so that everyone in the family can have a pair! I also have a new blog on my website all about how to manage the heel flap and gusset construction when using a gradient yarn. ⁠

The adult sock I have here was worked up using Schoppel's Zaugherball Starke 6, a gorgeous gradient DK weight sock yarn I have in my shop that has a handspun look to it. ⁠

The child sized socks here were worked up with The Knitter's Homestead's DK weight sock yarn, which I also have in my shop in a few gorgeous hand dyed colorways. ⁠
