If I think about my knitting too long it’ll make me cry 🥹

I ordered this yarn the minute I saw Aimee released a new colorway named Poppy Bloom. I’m sentimental about my kids for so many reasons, and I knew I needed something in this color to honor my baby girl. For years we hoped she would join our family, and she is everything 🧡

I made this Paloma Pointelle Scarf for her, and have enough yarn to make a matching one for myself. She didn’t really want to wear it on our recent trip, but we’ll have plenty of time to match in the years to come.

One of the reasons I continue knitting is because it helps me hold onto my memories. Just by looking at a sweater or project in my closet, I can often remember where I bought the yarn or who gifted it to me, what life was like when I made it, and the places I’ve gone while wearing it. It helps keep me focused on the present moment and leaves me with precious memories of the past.

So anyway if you see me wearing this, know I’m thinking about how grateful I am for my precious kids and the adventures I get to take with them ❤️

Manuela is finished ✨

& just in time for the cooler autumn weather! It’s the perfect transition piece, I’m currently wearing it and I’m in love. Manuela is one of the patterns from @eweknitto upcoming book, Threads of Memory, Hilados de la Memoria. It’s a compound raglan with really nice shaping details, I went with the double knit button band option and paired it with lightweight metal buttons I got from @shoplamercerie

I really wanted a lightweight transitional cardi, so I knew the Comfort Silk Linen from @aimeeshermakes I had in stash would be perfect! It’s 50% merino, 25% silk & 25% linen and it is so lovely to work with, & to wear. I used the color elderberry, I will always love blue but I’ve been using it so much lately that I think I’m ready for some color variety up next lol.

A fingering weight long sleeve piece means for miles and miles of stitches but I have been in just the right mind space for endless stockinette on 3 mm needles. Yes I know that’s crazy but I am who I am 😂

I’m really looking forward to getting a ton of use out of the sweater and saying, thanks, I made it 💅🏼

Ok, we’ve got this lovely new yarn posted this weekend and there is a lot of talk in the shop about what we plan to make. @harrisvilledesigns Naturals has us dreaming 🥰! I haven’t posted any new projects in months, but I’ve certainly finished them! Life has just zoomed by in other areas and taking photos of finished objects hadn’t been a priority. But here is the #seashorejacket by @aimeeshermakes which I completed months ago after finding the perfect vintage buttons. The yarn is joyful fingering in Flowering Quince by @sewhappyjane which is a colorway I love so much. I also made a matching Seashore Cami, maybe I will get around to showing it off one day! #knittersofinstagram

We were so incredibly honored to make the @awoolenaffair vendor signs again this year. They looked so good last year, and we were happy to assist with making Catherine's vision a reality again this year. This whole show feels so magical and it's such a pleasure to be part of it, as a vendor and sign maker.
