Holidays are almost over for me as I’m back to work tomorrow 👎🏻 I haven’t really had much energy since coming home as I’ve caught some kind of flu while travelling and I feel miserable 🤧 not looking forward to the return to reality tomorrow 😅 it’s been a quiet weekend playing some mariokart when I felt like it . I hope everyone else had a better weekend 🙂🎮

Recent gaming pickups ✨
.
.
I’ve been on a handheld gaming buzz lately and have been building my gameboy and ds collections over the past few months . Here are most of my pickups from the past few months . A lot of these are games from my childhood that i always wanted but never owned them myself so it’s great to now finally add them in to the collection .
.
With the announcement of physical discs getting discontinued after 2027 with PlayStation I’ve been feeling really weird about gaming the past while and I cannot even look at a PlayStation title without feeling quite sad and defeated😞 turning to a digital only world still doesn’t feel quite right so to me so I will continue to support physical media wherever I can 📀💿

Assassins Creed Black Flag 🏴‍☠️
.
.
I am pretty new to the AC Games but black flag has certainly impressed me . Enjoying the story , the exploration and just going about being a pirate and causing havoc has been so much fun . So glad I’m finally getting to experience this game for the first time !

Next on the list of games I want to complete this year is Yooka Replayee. I played the original way back in 2017 and absolutely loved it ! I thought it was time to revisit the game with the new release coming out . This was the very first game I played on ps4 too so it gives me some great memories .
.
.
The new game is pretty much a more polished version of the old game with added features such as all moves are already unlocked for you from the beginning , worlds are expanded and reimagined , controls are a lot smoother and some of the dialogue, story and collectibles have improved .
.
.
Looking forward to hopefully completing this one and obtaining the platinum if I can !

The whole gang is here and ready for the release of a realm beyond 💜✨ I finally added Gnasty Gnorc and flying Spyro to my collection . I hope they release some more pop figures for the new game 🙂

Never going to recover from Sonys decision to cease making physical copies of games . Such a bad decision . Physical media is the only way to ensure game preservation . If you go digital you are basically throwing your money down the drain if you ask me . Those games can be removed in the blink of an eye.And you bet Sony will not be returning your money 😂. 2028 may be the year I finish buying any new releases . So sad to even think about it ! I am all for people buying digital if that is what you prefer and are happy with , but for us who like physical copies and collecting to just have that option stripped away seems so unfair . I really hope this is not the end of physical games but it’s not looking good . 😢 I’m guessing this will have a knock on effect and Nintendo and Xbox will follow suit . .

If you didn’t spend hours on some poor graphics ps1 game growing up you missed out 🙊 Here is the game that got me into gaming - I spent hours playing this game growing up and I never even completed it (I got scared on one level and never finished it ) . The mini golf level was so fun ! Despite the poor graphics and clunky controls I wouldn’t change it for the world 🦖 ✨

What game got you into gaming ?
