They had us walking in these rickety planks and holding onto ropes during this tour. Wild

Our water proof pants failed the day before and we had to purchase rubber lined water proof pants before going in this ice cave. Wet+cold=hypothermia

All the black soil is volcanic ash sprinkled over the glacial ice. There are layers upon layers of volcanic ash mixed with glacial ice.

Spectacular views from both the peaks and valleys of Iceland. The icelandic landscape has so much to give. It reciprocates your appreciation in the form of violent winds and harsh cold hail.

During the Katla track ice cave tour, it started hailing really hard. Our original waterproof pants soaked through on day one and we had to buy some from the nearby Icewear store. Otherwise we would have gone hypothermic.

The top of Dyrhólaey was so windy we could barely stand. At one point hail started pelting our faces and we had to run back to the car.

This waterfall was so huge you could literally feel the rumble of the water hitting the ground within your chest.
