How to Price a Premium Product

1️⃣ Define your positioning: Decide who your product is for and what tier your customer expect to pay before you ever set a price

2️⃣ Benchmark the market: Know the real ceiling and floor of the price of products in your category so your price is within range of consumers expectations

3️⃣ Price the value, not the cost: Charge based on the outcome or transformation the customer gets, not your production cost

As founder of @aiovahq, pricing premium products is something I think about constantly because it's the difference between competing on cost and competing on value. Right now, our flagship speaker OMNI is 2 weeks away from completion!

$How to build a market that doesn't exist (category creation) Most founders fight for existing market share. The most successful ones create their own. 1. Identify the Gap: Make a list of all the competitors in your market and see what their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are. Look up SWOT Analysis as a guide. 2. Define the Language: Whoever's able to tell the story first is the one who's able to control the market. Write down what your product does, why your product is valuable, and how you want people to feel about it. From their, use these descriptors as the base of your brand language 3. Create Your Own Language: Make a list of words and names that are original to you and align with your brand. Make sure the words are unique and don't exist on the marketplace already so people are primed to know your brand language. Use these words every single time you describe what you're doing. As founder of @aiovahq, the world's first ritual technology company, enriching your daily ritual is the most important essence of our brand. r\Right now we're weeks away from our final GTM prototype!
