POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hello from the inside — Airdrie Inside, where longtime Airdrie resident, @chrisglasshalffull interviews our homegrown heroes. These local residents are the heartbeat of our city, and make Airdrie the best place to raise our kid, live our greatest moments, and retire.
Our weekly podcast goes live tomorrow with our first guest, founder of Airdrie Adopt-A-Grad, Mike Reist. Not only does this organization provide youth in need with a suit or graduation dress to experience their first milestone into adulthood; but it instills in them the belief that they are
worthy and capable of great things, as they cross the stage to their futures. taken in Airdrie, Alberta by @airdrieinside

In this episode of Airdrie Inside, Britton Ledingham sits down with Albert DeWitt. Albert isn’t just a witness to Airdrie’s history; he is the architecture of it. From starting school in a one-room classroom in 1949 to the “kick in the ass” of taking over the family farm at 19, Albert’s story is a lesson in tenacious stewardship. He shares the raw truth about the 15 minutes he spent dead after a heart attack, the 50-year mystery of his father’s 1947 GMC truck, and the real reason a local landmark is named DeWitt’s Pond.

Albert’s message to the next generation worth hearing: “Count the days... because they could be short.”

Highlighting a standout moment from our early archives — one that still feels just as relevant today, Ryan Russell @ryanruss22 reflected on the lighthearted side of his work, using a classic hockey‑style interview bit to show how much joy he finds in creating.
Beneath the humour was a reminder of how much intention sits behind what he does: the ability to play, to experiment, and to bring people into moments that feel familiar and fun.
It’s the kind of creativity that doesn’t take itself too seriously while still connecting with the people who watch.
A good creator knows how to make space for both heart and humour. by @airdrieinside

In this episode of Airdrie Inside, Chris Glass sits down with Amanda Williams, founder of Sweet Williams Co. Amanda’s story is a masterclass in the Decisive pivot. After a career with the Calgary Flames and Stage West was disrupted by the global shutdown, she returned to her Airdrie roots to build a business that stands for family and community. In this episode of Airdrie Inside, Chris Glass sits down with Kimwell and Grace del Rosario. Their story is a masterclass in leadership. When they saw Airdrie Christian Academy lacked a music program, they didn’t just apply for a job—they submitted a proposal to build one from the ground up. From their roots in the musical families of Manila to starting a strings revolution in Airdrie, Kimwell and Grace are moving the needle on what it means to belong and flourish in our community.
“The opportunity to start a program from ground up for teaching music... oh, my goodness. That was an opportunity of a lifetime. We experienced that beyond music... it’s a paying forward.” — Kimwell del Rosario

From the stored moments of 2025, here’s a story about how football became more than just a sport.
Stepping back into that conversation, Gabriel Osenda @3k_golden talks about joining the game simply because his friends were signing up — not knowing the rules, not knowing what to expect, just wanting to be part of the group.
From those early days with the Storm to the Bantam Raiders and later the Mustangs, he found teammates who became family and a community that supported him every step of the way.
What started as a way to hang out with friends turned into a journey shaped by connection, growth, and people who believed in him.
A small example of how sport becomes family long before it becomes a future. by @airdrieinside

Some moments from our first year remind us how much compassion shapes the experience inside a clinic.
As we bring another piece from our 2025 timeline forward, Dr. Cody Creelman @codycreelman @fenvetclinic listens as a story unfolds about a customer arriving at FenVet in full panic — convinced an older dog had suffered a serious injury. After being turned away elsewhere because the clinic was closing, the team at FenVet didn’t hesitate. They stepped in, stayed late, and focused on easing the dog’s pain and the owner’s fear.
What stood out wasn’t a policy or a protocol — it was instinct. A team acting on what felt right, not what was convenient.
A reminder that real care shows up in the moments no policy could ever script. by @airdrieinside

This reel with Dan Patel, from the echoes of 2025, looks at the thoughtful planning behind bringing his business to Airdrie. He talks about how saturated the Calgary market had become and why that pushed him to look for a place with room to grow.
Airdrie stood out — a fast‑growing city, close to Calgary but with its own momentum, steady highway traffic, and a community ready for new opportunities. It wasn’t a guess; it was a calculated move based on research, timing, and understanding how people shift toward spaces that feel less crowded and more promising.
A reminder that smart growth often comes from seeing potential where others aren’t looking yet. by @airdrieinside

Some conversations remind you why storytelling matters. As we bring forward another insight from 2025, Britton Ledingham @ievolvemedia reflects on what it means to help people share the chapters that shaped them — the athletes, the entrepreneurs, the community builders, the young leaders whose paths are just beginning.
He talks about the honour of capturing those moments early, especially with someone like Gabe, knowing that one day these memories will mean even more. There’s something powerful about being present at the start of a life that’s headed somewhere big.
A quiet nod to the storytellers who help preserve the moments people will look back on for years to come. by @airdrieinside

Lifted from a moment that brought so much colour to our 2025 season, this reel with Tiffany Bennett‑Allen l.i.f.e_with_tiffy opens a window into what she hopes Airdrie understands about Jamaican culture — the flavours, the warmth, and the deep sense of togetherness that shapes everything. She talks about how food is only the starting point; the real heart of it is the way Jamaicans treat people like family from the moment they meet them.
She also shares the pride of coming from a small island with a global footprint — from sprinting legends to cricket roots — and the joy of seeing pieces of that culture reflected here. And of course, she reminds us that while Canada has its lakes, Jamaica’s beaches are a world of their own, the kind of beauty she hopes to bring forward in the experiences she creates.
A glimpse into a culture built on connection, pride, and an open‑armed welcome that makes every space feel like home." by @airdrieinside

In this episode of Airdrie Inside, Chris Glass sits down with Dr. Phillip Hoffmann, co-chair and vice president of the Airdrie Food Bank and a pillar of the city’s volunteer sector. Phillip’s story is a masterclass in the caregiver archetype. From his roots in Australia to leading the transition of the Airdrie Public Library, he’s moving the needle by proving that a society’s true measure is how it treats its neighbours.
“The measure of a society... is not how well we take care of millionaires and billionaires, but it’s how well we take care of people like that guy with those two boys. In life, we’re all good until we’re not good.” — Dr. Phillip Hoffmann

Pulled from a highlight that helped define our 2025 season, this moment with Lovepreet Deo @lovepreetdeo captures something special: a woman with an extraordinary list of accomplishments who still carries herself with quiet ease.
From national recognition to endurance feats most people only dream about, she’s built a résumé that could fill a wall — yet she talks about it like it’s nothing. What makes it even more meaningful is that her journey unfolded right here in Airdrie, a reminder of the remarkable stories growing in our own backyard.
