2026 Running & Hiking experiences now available!
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s Friday. Consider this your invitation to slow down, take a deep breath, and simply be present.

A few moments of stillness, courtesy of these beautiful horses enjoying their time in nature, captured from above by the wonderful photographer @faridkamrannia.

A gentle reminder that we don’t always have to be doing something. Sometimes, simply being is enough.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend. 🌿 by @airelibre.run

Some miles stay with us long after the run is over. But how do we put them into words?

Peter Bromka (@bromka) and Aire Libre are coming together for a 4-day writing and running experience through Oaxaca City and its surroundings.

We’ve long admired Peter’s ability to capture what running means beyond pace and distance. From his essay “The Marathon Doesn’t Owe You Anything” to his reflections on the people and places that shape our sport, his writing gives a voice to the feelings so many runners share.

It’s a privilege to co-create this journey with him and bring his curiosity, craft, and love for storytelling to Oaxaca, a place close to our hearts.

Part of our new Co-Creator Experiences, this journey brings together people we admire and their creative practices with our approach to traveling through movement, culture, and connection.

Across three guided writing sessions, Peter will help you turn your own running experiences into words, developing and refining a short piece to take home.

Along the way, we’ll run through Oaxaca’s streets and trails, share local food, meet artisans, and connect with ancestral traditions through experiences like a traditional Temazcal ceremony.

Four days to run, write, reflect, and find your own voice.

Whether you’ve written for years or have never put pen to paper, there’s a place for you here. All running paces and writing levels are welcome.

Jason Suarez (@notafraid2fail ) and Aire Libre are coming together for a 4-day experience where running and photography move through Mexico City side by side.

We’ve admired Jason’s work for a long time, not only for the way he captures sport and movement, but for the sensitivity, instinct, and storytelling behind every frame. From major global sporting moments to the raw energy of running culture and community, his work has a way of making you feel like you were there.

Whether you’re a runner who wants to shoot, a photographer who happens to run, or somewhere in between, there’s a version of this experience that’s yours.

Aire Libre Experiences 2027 Now Available

For 10 years, we’ve been creating journeys for those seeking something deeper than a finish line.

For those who want to travel with purpose, move through new places with curiosity, feel safe, feel included, and return home changed by what they experienced along the way.

Every journey has shaped the way we travel today: with care, intention, and deep respect for the landscapes we move through, the cultures we learn from, and the people who welcome us.

Today, we’re sharing the first part of our 2027 calendar.
Patagonia. Kyoto and the Kumano Kodo. Mexico City. Three very different ways to experience the world through movement, culture, nature, and community. And this is only the beginning.

There are more places, more stories, and more journeys still to come as we continue revealing what 2027 will look like.

10 years behind us. A whole world ahead.

BEYOND RUNNING PODCAST
Episode 50: From the Bronx to Oaxaca: It Was Always About Community with Lenin “Lenny” Grullon
@whynotrun_len

What does it really take to build a running community that lasts?

For nearly a decade, Lenin “Lenny” Grullon has helped shape Boogie Down Bronx Runners into one of New York City’s most respected running crews, always guided by one idea: community comes first.

In this episode, Lenny joins Mau Díaz (@maudac) to talk about building a run club from the ground up, staying true to its values as it grew, and the early mornings, doubts, and moments that made it clear they were creating something much bigger than a place to run.

They also revisit the journey that brought Boogie Down Bronx Runners from New York to Oaxaca with Aire Libre, and what happened when two running communities from different places came together through movement, culture, and a shared sense of belonging.

Go to the link in our bio to give it a listen!
