This is a recent pet portrait I created for a close friend. Bender is a funny little guy who had a very rough start in life. After becoming a foster fail for my friend, he has had a lovely life filled with love and kindness ever since.

My pet portraits are handmade by me with colored pencil on tinted paper. I enjoy trying to bring out each pet’s personality. Pet portraits is a way to honor the memory of a lost pet or celebrate your current pet as well. I am open for taking commissions whenever you are ready. by @airofwhimsy

Mia was a super special little lady. Very loved by her family. Portraits like Mia’s just tug at my heartstrings because it was a memorial gift for her family. Please reach out to me if you are interested in having a colored pencil portrait made. Hug those furry ones. We never know how long they will be in our lives. by @airofwhimsy

Walter, a very loved little doodle guy. Ok, so a not so little guy. But most big dogs have a little baby dog inside of them that shows up when they insist on hanging out in your lap. Thank you to Walter’s Grandma for letting me help make Christmas special for his parents! Taking commissions to create a colored pencil portrait of your special little one. #doodlesofinsta #coloredpencildrawing #petportraits #dogsofinstagram by @airofwhimsy

This is Daisy. She was the bestest girl of a friend of mine. Daisy had a rough start as a starving mistreated rescue girl who hit the jackpot with her new family. She went on to compete in several dog sports as well as flyball. Daisy was truly a one of a kind. I was honored to have the opportunity to create her portrait in colored pencil on gray paper. I also included some progression photos of my process. Let me know if you are interested in having a portrait made of one of your pets. #dogsofinstagram #coloredpencil #petportrait by @airofwhimsy
