Life is hard and busy here.

It’s been a gut wrenching few weeks - take your breath away, knock you to your knees, life will never be the same kinda weeks for me and some of my friends as we support a friend that lost so much.

But even before that, posting here was hard because I stay busy doing socials for other people and then the last thing I want is to post for myself. 🙃

Not going anywhere. But life has been lifing, the garden has not and the garden has always been my content.

So I’m going to be making a few trips. Going to go see the my sister in NYC solo, celebrate the FIL’s BDAy with the entire family. Make time for more lunches.

All the loss lately has me trying to live with more intention and more fully.

Along the way, I’ll figure out what this page should look like going forward.

But first I need to get over this wretched flu!😷

Be kind.

Hug the ones you love.

Spread some love out into the world.

Take the trip.

💙

…….

Don’t get distracted.

Be the helper.

Find your happy.

It doesn’t have to be like this.

1247 days and counting.

💙

I’ve been thinking about the 2025 garden. I have all my notes and 2024 me suggestions for 2025 me.

It will be simpler. A place that doesn’t feel like work as much like work.

And I’m going to leave a freaking sealed tote out there for tools! Damn it!

Also, there’s at least one bunny living under the Tulsi.

If you’ve read this far…I have a story for you.

I had LG on a leash because she refuses to stay out of the water/mud/poop river by the fence line in the back yard.

It’s a soggy mess out there. Muddy, poopy, wet mess.

We rounded the garden and I felt the tension of her body through the leash.

Before I could even form a thought, she bolted.

After a bunny.

With me on the other end of her leash.

In rubber booties.

Sweat pants under my jammy shirt.

In a light drizzle.

In the dark.

My first step must have been in poop because it was my last … I just slid.

I literally dug two tracks into the earth across our back yard with my heels as LG drug me across the yard as she chased after the bunny.

I’m not sure how I held on, how she didn’t rip my arm from my socket OR how I didn’t face plant onto the soggy, muddy, poopy earth.

Once we got to other side of the yard where we both watched said bunny slip under the fence, LG turned, stared at me a second and huffed at me in disgust and strong judgement of my fudge consumption the past week.

I stripped naked on the back porch (while the mister kept hissing, “Aimee the neighbors!”) and went straight to the shower. I don’t even wanna know what all splashed up the back of me or who might have seen anything out a window. 🫣

Thanks for reading till the end. If you did…leave me a 💩 in the comments so I know! 🤣

Have a great day!
…….

Eyes wide open.

Be the helper.

Find your happy.
