One picture. That’s all I (or rather my hubs) managed to capture while attending Michigan Bookstock this past Sunday. Which is probably for the best, considering the humidity and rain was not kind to my hair. But not even the weather could keep readers away from their bookish finds! So an extra special thanks to those who braved the elements and snagged a copy of Lines Between Stars! You made it a truly special day for me.

🔥🔥𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗔𝗟!!!🔥🔥

I’ve been sitting on this art for waaaaay too long. Although, it might look familiar, as it made its sneak appearance in the background of my reels recalling Big Ohio Book Con, where it officially made its debut.

When I say I’m OBSESSED with this character art, I don’t think that’s a big enough word. I was smitten at the rough sketch and I’m not exaggerating when I say I had literal tears rolling down my face at its finish. The first time I saw Breyna (Reyna & Brax) blown up on my retractable banner, I danced in place while making high pitched screeching velociraptor sounds.

@jacqueillustrates is a true goddess. She took my vision and upped the ante. I thought it’d be helpful to send her “the chapter” this particular scene is from and she suggested adding the subtle fire play and I knew our collaboration was a perfect match made.

Seriously, my dudes. Get ready to be absolutely sick and tired of seeing me post and re-post this art for many moons to come.

✨🎉 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬!!! 🎉✨

I can hardly believe it.

6 years in the making. No more waiting. No more tweaks. No more stressing over my bookish baby being released into the wild. She’s out there and mama is DAAAMN PROUD. She may not be perfect but she’s mine. The heartbeat of my creative existence.

After writing and publishing a book, I’ll never be the same. Absolutely ruined for life. In the best way possible.

Thanks again to @jupitermarketmi for having me at my first event in Bay City this past weekend! Per usual, I loved getting to meet new authors, readers and the venue was so lovely! A very special thanks to everyone who stopped by my table and took a chance on Lines Between Stars. 💖

I wish I could’ve captured more content, but if I’m being honest, I’m finally starting to feel 2026’s book event fatigue. I absolutely LOVE doing these in-person shows, but they can be draining (in the best way ofc). I’ve got a few more lined up this year and then I’m going to take a breather until I count my lucky stars that I get to do it all next year.

I’ll admit, as an elder millennial I sometimes worry I’ll become irrelevant as I get older. But right now is not that time. I’m the most awake I’ve ever been and I have zero plans of slowing anytime soon. In so many ways, I feel like I’ve only just started scratching the surface of what I’m meant to do. If you’ve got a hobby, a passion, or even a curiosity for something, it’s never too late to explore it! You’ll never regret investing in what brings you joy.

PSA: If you’ve been hmm hawing that “thing” for over the past year, you should probably just get it on Amazon, KindleUnlimited or at Barnes & Noble.

A HUGE thanks to the incredible folks at the @cadillaclibrary for putting on such a lovely event last weekend!

I may have written a main character who avoids human connection, but the more bookish events I attend, the more sure I am this is where I belong. I LOVE gabbing with everyone who comes to my table and thrive off of hearing their stories, viewpoints and the laughs we exchange. Writing is solitary, but these events remind me that books are not.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support Michigan indie authors and especially those who took a chance on Lines Between Stars. 😘

9 months in and I’m still making reels. If someone told me last year I’d be cranking these out since January, I definitely would’ve 😂🙄😳🥴ed. So thanks for being here as I attempt to be interesting.

Hey, an author’s gotta go what an author’s gotta do.

Speaking of which...

We are so excited to be announcing our lineup for RITV27! Today we continue announcing an author lineup that we are * SO * Proud of!
We are so thrilled that A.J. LEXA will be joining us for a second year!

A.J. Lexa is an adult urban romantasy author whose vivid writing style fuses fierce desire, sharp wit, untamed magic, and the perseverance of the human spirit.

Her debut standalone follows a woman with deadly abilities who discovers she’s the human reincarnation of a zodiac sign. Toss in an opposites attract romance with a morally gray love interest, temptation from a page-stealing villain, a zodiac-driven apocalypse and Greek-inspired lore, and you’re in for an immersive ride to the stars and back.
