Didn’t see everything but I lowk saw the pope so it’s fine, been having fun larping as Catholic on the trip.

Madrid/northern Spain church architecture is incredibly cool, up there on my favorite regional styles list (I ❤️ Spanish baroque)

Found a gorgeous jazz bar, and also shoutout to the guy holding his baby in one hand in the pope video good lord

last travel blog post!!! This trip has been SPECTACULAR and i WILL NOT be shutting up about it anytime soon by @aj_wax

Vagueposting about the countryside… spent a few days with family and got to see the wild part of Spain!

Caught my first fish on a fly rod and the first overseas (Spanish Barbel), ate a fig in an olive tree at sunrise, and fed the local pigs. The stars are real bright out here too… by @aj_wax

Seville doesn’t play about religious holidays, and I got stuck in not one but TWO processions (oh no… how terrible…). The style and art of the city is gorgeous, which is probably why they filmed so much of Star Wars in their plazas.

Lots of wonderful museums and aquariums, it helps to have a little cousin to show you where they keep the cool fish.

chose the song because it came on in a tile shop near the market, title was a crazy coincidence. Shoutout to the nuns i bought cookies from, insanely gas, would go again by @aj_wax

The town is super cute and the castle is wonderful to visit. Lots of wonderful bakeries too! The local art scene is very vibrant as well, went to a lovely show/gallery!

Here’s Lisbon, except I had been awake for forty hours straight and it’s JUST the local cathedral. Left the airport to see it, got back on the metro, and went straight to my next flight.

Portuguese church architecture is a a force to be reckoned with. You will die trying, and then they will build a chapel with your bones.

PS hot tip, always ask for the translation of a food before you eat it, EVEN THE DESSERTS, or you might accidentally eat “bacon fat from heaven”, and not know if it was actually made with pork fat or just substituted with margarine. Whoops. by @aj_wax

Genuinely a dream come true to visit the city, and it’s easily my favorite I’ve traveled to. The highlights include and are not limited to…

- Accidentally joining a mass at Notre Dame
- Proceeding to get lucky and be let into the towers without a ticket
- Stumbling onto the opera house Phantom is based off
- Visiting the cemetery from Phantom, and almost getting lost in the crypts
- Coming across a jazz band in the street playing my favorite old song
- seeing four different works I studied in a class at the louvre
- Seeing the most amazing sunset I’ve ever seen in my life

Sorry I’m not cool enough to be nonchalant about this, get used to the travel diary format. by @aj_wax
