Based on a true story about a young woman who started chatting to hubby and me on a train to Malaga airport three years ago. She was friendly - too friendly - and I thought to myself, there’s got to be a story in this. On the plane home, I thought I saw her again, and I started plotting. Three years later, people are reading the story I made up from that one conversation.

I’ve got another good book recommendation for Thriller Thursday! 🖤 Available now!

Tommy Grainger is a devoted husband and father whose life takes an unexpected turn when he loses his job. Between becoming a stay-at-home dad, trying his hand at social media, and everything happening around him, things get complicated FAST!

I have to say, Tommy annoyed me at times! 😂 He seemed so oblivious to things happening right in front of him, and I just wanted to shake him!

There were so many little details, secrets, and twists that kept me hooked! I started putting things together as the story unfolded, and while I had my suspicions, I still absolutely loved how everything played out!

Tommy is a loving husband of Lottie and dad who suddenly loses his job and decides to become a stay at home dad while starting his own social media venture. Sounds simple enough, right? Well..not really 😭 Especially with Lottie’s best friend Pippa constantly around.

When their neighbour Cass goes missing, Tommy somehow ends up becoming the main suspect and the more we learn about him, the more suspicious everything starts to feel. Meanwhile, Pippa has her own little game going on in the background and honestly.. that woman 😮‍💨

I really enjoyed how the story slowly unfolded. There were so many secrets, lies and little twists that kept making me question everyone. Every time I thought I had things figured out, something else came up.

Pippa was honestly so frustrating Her obsession and the things she was willing to do had me like, girl PLEASE 😭 I wanted to shake her half the time lol.

And Tommy...I know I probably shouldn’t say this 🤭 but I kinda loved him lol. He definitely made some questionable choices, but I still found myself rooting for him the whole time.

I loved the mix of family drama, obsession, secrets and suspense, and watching everything slowly connect was probably my favourite part. The ending was messy and twisted in the best way, and that little secret between Tommy and Lottie ?? 👀

Overall, such a fun and entertaining psychological thriller. It kept me hooked, gave me plenty to be suspicious and I am recommending to all!!

Here is my review for Such A Good Man by AJ Campbell

I thoroughly loved this addictive, brilliantly gripping, suspenseful standalone psychological thriller which sees Tommy Grainger wanting to please everyone. He's totally devoted to his wife, Lottie and a wonderful father to Olivia and Benjamin, their two children. Unfortunately, he works in marketing and is made redundant due to AI. He has been trying for jobs for the past year and has been unsuccessful in getting an interview for any of them. He leaves the house as usual for three trying to sort something out then he decides to become a stay at home dad and reinvent himself on social media, trying to make it pay. Meanwhile, he could do handyman jobs to fill the gap. He becomes head of the PTA and after a meeting at his house, he finds Cass, drunk and scantily clad in the spare room! He tells her he is devoted to his wife and leaves to pick his children up. She is gone when they get back. Cass gets more drunk that night and has a chat with Pippa who is staying in their annex. When Cass’ husband Ron comes home, Pippa pushes Cass to tell Ron about her being attacked by Tommy but Ron just laughs and doesn't believe it. Pippa manages to pick up Cass’ phone and takes it with her when she leaves. Pippa has a plan and it's now motion, she's just got to be patient. A few days later a police officer is talking to Ron about his missing wife Cass, Pippa manages to point the finger in Tommy's direction so the police officer asks him some questions too. He doesn't get the chance to speak to Lottie before his life spirals out of his control and his good guy image may not survive the fallout. Pippa has set her sights on something she has desperately desired for years, she just has to make sure her plans aren't upset now. Tommy is desperate to see his family but he can't break his bail. He knows he is innocent, he didn't do it but who did?

“Drunks also make great unreliable narrators.” True or false, the narrators of this thriller kept me on the edge of my seat. All is not as it seems in Blue Bell Close. A cozy, safe village is hiding several sinister secrets behind its tranquil facade. Murder, evil, and obsession saturate this addictive thriller. My warning to all readers: clear your calendar, because this will hold you captive until you reach the shocking, satisfying conclusion. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves thrills and chills. Wow! AJ Campbell writers such fantastic thrillers but Such a Good Man is her best yet.

It is dark and compulsive and so hard to stop reading. I was hooked from the very beginning right until those last pages. I do love a domestic thriller and there is so much drama in this street, where every knows everything about everyone, or so they think.

I loved Tommy Grainger; he really was a good man. He was a devoted husband and father and would do anything for anyone. Newly unemployed he is trying to set a new path for himself and his family, but a serious of bad decisions find him the prime suspect when a neighbour goes missing. I really wanted things to work out for him , but it just seemed to get worse and worse. I dreaded him falling victim to unscrupulous people.

The villain in this book was just so despicable. Looks can be deceiving that is for sure. I haven’t hated a character so much in a long time. It was brilliant.
