It starts off in complete chaos and it doesn’t let up the entire time! You feel for the main character, Tommy, who has a good heart and good intentions, but cannot stop making bad decisions. Then there is Tommy’s wife’s best friend, Pippa. We get to truly see how dark Pippa is as we alternate POVs between Tommy and her. And I truly feel like AJ Campbell nailed the POV of Tommy! This domestic thriller is juicy, addictive and totally bingeable! I had to suspend belief a few times, but it worked for me! There are so many twists that are perfectly placed and make this unhinged thriller work so well! This is my first by this author and I am excited to read more from her! It’s out now and on Kindle Unlimited! Everyone has been raving about this one, for good reason! So don’t just take my word for it.. The story switches between Tommy and Pippa, his wife's longtime bff, and both perspectives kept me hooked! Tommy isn't a bad guy, but his decisions at times... sir, please think things through!! Meanwhile Pippa's intense attachment to Lottie and obvious dislike for Tommy had my suspicion levels through the roof! Tommy's POV especially felt incredibly authentic and I could understand his frustrations and flawed reasoning even when I wanted to scream at him! The pacing was fantastic, the short chapters made this one easy to binge, and the twists kept me second guessing everything. 📗📗BOOK REVIEW📗📗 Such a Good Man by A J Campbell Tommy is a bit disorganised and clumsy but to his wife Lottie, his children and many friends and neighbours he is seen as a good man. But there is one person who doesn’t feel that way and they are on a mission. Briefly, when Tommy is made redundant he decides to be a “ stay at home Dad” and turn himself into a social media influencer which hopefully will earn him good money. He also joins the PTA as chair and works as a handyman to keep the cash rolling in. However, his world crashes when his neighbour Cass, in a drunken moment comes onto him. His reaction and subsequent actions get him into a whole load of trouble which ends up with him being vilified and facing prison. The reader knows Tommy shouldn’t be in prison but how does he prove it. It’s really did have me on the edge of my seat. The main antagonist is a despicable human but very clever letting others do the JB for her. A quick and easy read full of tension and twists. Book Review – no spoilers Such a Good Man by AJ Campbell Tommy Grainger is known for being a good man; a great dad to his two children Olivia and Benjamin and a devoted husband to his beautiful and successful wife Lottie. However, when he is made redundant from his long-standing job, he must try and earn money in other ways; which includes becoming a stay-at-home dad influencer but also painting his neighbours’ fences, cleaning their garages and heading up the PTA. Things turn for the worse when one of the mum’s Cass goes missing after a PTA meeting, he has run at his house, his reputation takes a hammering when the police come knocking on his door, asking questions about Cass. But there is one person who knows exactly where Cass is… Pippa Powers. Lottie’s best friend, business partner and the kid’s Godmother. She has a secret obsession, and Tommy is in the way of that. Now this was a thriller from beginning to end! Just when you think one thing will happen, Campbell throws a curveball right at you. Dark, thrilling and still relatable – this thriller has some complex characters that feel intricate and real. Tommy starts as a naïve, nice guy just trying to do his best for his family and ends up stronger than he thought he was. However, the star of the show for me was Pippa, a dark twisted character who has so many layers – I would’ve loved to know more about her, her childhood and why she is the way she is. How her relationship with Lottie builds and how Tommy’s entrance to their lives fully affected her and her motives. She was psychotic in the most delicious way. Having a female villain always intrigues me….so can I request a prequel please? An easy, enjoyable and entertaining read! If you are a fan of Desperate Housewives with a British twist then this is the thriller for you! Thank you, AJ, for allowing me to join this great tour and trusting me with your baby. 📖Manipulation Monday📖 Such A Good Man by @ajcampbellauthor Genre: Psychological Thriller Loved it! 🫶 Special thanks to @ajcampbell for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Tommy is a likable guy. Great father. Loving husband. Always willing to lend a hand when someone needs it. Basically… such a good man.😉 But when AI takes over his job and leaves him unemployed, Tommy decides to give being a stay-at-home dad a shot—and maybe even try being a social media influencer. He gets roped into joining the local PTA, but after a female neighbor dies following a PTA meeting at his house, fingers start pointing at Tommy. I couldn’t help but root for Tommy because honestly… he IS such a good man! But every step he takes to clear his name seems to take him even farther from doing exactly that. Campbell quickly threw me into this chaotic world where nothing was quite what it seemed. Just when I thought I had things figured out, reality shifted and made me question everything all over again. The manipulation and deception kept piling up, and that growing obsession loomed larger and larger until I simply couldn’t put this one down. Fast-paced, short chapters, and a story that kept pulling me in… I flew through this one! Final Verdict: 👍 Addictive, twisty, and deliciously messy. Such a Good Man by @ajcampbellauthor Book Tour with @ajcampbellauthor (PR) Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I want to begin this review by saying a huge thank you to AJ Campbell for providing me with a copy of this read to take part in a book tour. This is the first book of Campbell’s that I have read and honestly, I devoured it. I thought the writing style was absolutely hypnotic and I genuinely struggled to put this book down. I loved the characterisation and multiple povs and thought it added so well to the overall feeling I had reading this book. I really liked Lottie as a protagonist and genuinely felt for her as the narrative unfolded. I think Pippa was such an interesting character and it was really eye-opening to see her character progress as the story continued. I really liked Tommy and I really felt of him as the narrative progressed. I was rooting for him the whole time. This will not be the last of AJ Campbell’s books that I will read because it had me in absolute awe the entire time. No notes.
