When you’re the CEO and you find yourself doing more and more of the tasks you hired people to do, that’s your first red flag that something is out of balance.

AI is moving fast. Too fast for a lot of small business owners to realistically keep up. One day your systems work, the next day a platform changes how things are done and you’re expected to adapt immediately. Search, software, automation. It’s all advancing at once, and most owners don’t have the time or capacity to constantly relearn how to run their business.

That’s where the frustration comes from. Not fear of AI, but the pace and the pressure. When tools are forced instead of introduced thoughtfully, it adds stress instead of saving time.

That said, behind the scenes, AI has been helpful. For accountants and small businesses, it’s improved things like organizing data, refining reports, cleaning up content, and speeding up idea generation. Used intentionally, it can reduce busywork and free up time to focus on actual strategy and growth.

The issue isn’t AI replacing people.
It’s technology moving faster than real businesses can adapt.
