Still in awe.

To be honest, when I first signed up, I didn’t know what to expect. My goal was just to make it out of eliminations, which is already an achievement for me.

The strenuous but rewarding feeling of getting the right parameters and enjoying the fruit of your labor. The science, the craft, the experimentation. I’ve spent hours tweaking grind sizes, playing with water temperature, chasing that perfect cup. And today, all of that paid off in a way I never imagined.

This wasn’t just about making coffee. It was about pushing myself, sharing a part of who I am, and putting my palate and technique to the test against some of the most talented brewers. To even be in the same room as so many amazing competitors was an honor in itself.

I want to thank the judges for recognizing something special in my brew — and for giving thoughtful, honest feedback that helped me surpass every round.

To my fellow competitors: you made this event so much more than a competition. You inspired me, challenged me, and reminded me why I fell in love with coffee in the first place. This gold trophy not only represents myself but all of us.

To my friends and family, thank you for always having my back and for supporting me.

It took me a while to prove that coffee is really going to be my lifelong passion and I still have a lot to learn.

And lastly, to anyone out there who’s thinking about jumping into something new, something intimidating — do it. Take the risk. Whether it’s coffee, art, or any passion that lights you up — chase it. Keep joining and keep the people who are always there to have your back and support you. That’s the greatest advice I could give to everyone. You never know what can happen.

This is just the beginning for me, and I can’t wait to represent our country in the world stage 🫔

Today, I stand here filled with gratitude. Having the chance to represent my country in the World AeroPress Championship in Seoul was truly unforgettable. I gained something far more meaningful — the memories, the growth, and the honor of sharing a stage with so many passionate brewers from around the world.

To everyone who supported me — my friends, my family, my mentors, and everyone who believed in me — thank you. Your encouragement carried me through every practice, every round, and every moment I felt unsure. I’m grateful for the journey, the lessons, and the community that made this experience so special.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to @cebupacificair for sponsoring my flight to Seoul, South Korea. Because of your support, I was given the opportunity to represent the Philippines on the world stage at the World AeroPress Championship. This journey was not just about competition, but about sharing our passion, creativity, and Filipino spirit with the global coffee community. Thank you for believing in this journey and for helping turn this dream into a reality. Your support truly made this experience possible.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to @yardstickcoffee for organizing the Philippine AeroPress Championship. You didn’t just create a competition—you created a space where passion, courage, and the Filipino coffee community could truly shine. This experience will stay with me far beyond the competition, and I am deeply grateful for everything.

This wraps up my WAC journey and I will always be grateful for it.
Thank you for being part of this chapter with me. The best is yet to come.

Finally got my hands on the AeroBox Kit by @jan.aeropresser , 2nd placer during the World Aeropress Championship ā€˜25 🄈

The Kit features the ff:

AeroBox - makes the AeroPress press phase visible and repeatable.

AeroTemper - uses a perforated tamper and a 20-degree base to wet one to three AeroPress paper filters with a little water, light pressure, and three or more smooth twists.

AeroStop - makes your AeroPress endpoint physical and repeatable.

AeroHome - supports an inverted AeroPress before brewing and catches filter-cap drips after pressing in a removable basin.

It’s always nice to try out different equipments! Thank you @jan.aeropresser and @bambulab_official for sending us these kits for us to try! 😁

šŸ‡µšŸ‡ MANILA, WE’RE COMING!

We’re excited to be joining Coffee Plz 2026 in Manila this September.
We’ll be bringing a little piece of Noto from Korea to the Philippines — coffee, merch, and our way of exploring what coffee can be with AI.

At the Noto booth:

1ļøāƒ£ AI-powered blend-to-order coffee
Tell us what you’re in the mood for — a flavor, feeling, memory, or whatever comes to mind. Our AI app will create a coffee blend just for you, which we’ll make for you on the spot.

2ļøāƒ£ Noto coffee beans + sensory cups
We’re bringing a selection of roasted coffees from Seoul, along with our original sensory cups made in collaboration with @noto_sensory. Both will be available to purchase throughout the festival.

3ļøāƒ£ SPECIAL BAR TAKEOVER — SEP 4, 4:30–6:30 PM
We’ll also have a very special guest behind the Noto bar on the first day.
šŸ† Kyle Jovellanos @ak.arw — 2025 Philippines AeroPress Champion & Head Barista at Pocket @pocketmakati — will be joining us and taking over the bar from 4:30–6:30 PM.
For those two hours, every coffee ordered from Noto will be brewed by Kyle. Come say hi, make your own AI blend, and have the Philippines AeroPress Champion brew it for you.

We’ve met many wonderful people from the Philippine coffee community last year, so we’re very excited to finally bring Noto to Manila.

See you at Coffee Plz 2026! šŸ‡µšŸ‡ā˜•ļø

what was our thought process when we were building our little pocket?

aside from our space being another place you can hang out in, we wanted people who can make you feel at home but also make you bangin' coffee. so with that, meet our team ü

kyle, our head barista (who is also the 2025 aeropress champ!!!)
our cute dressy baristas cj, sam, and micah

everyday is a little different because of the good energy and juju they bring, so come to our pocket and have little chats with them. see you ü

There is a particular kind of grief that has nothing to do with death. It is the grief of finding out that someone you let into your life was never quite who they said they were. We gave this person what we give to few: trust, name, and the people we love. We did this because we believed them and wanted to believe that good faith is returned in kind. Most of us do, as people who genuinely stand on community, transparency, and quality of relationships.

We won't list every claim that has reached us. We will say this: the concerns are not from one person but from several, and they are not small. Some transactions, it seems, were carried out in our shadow, with our name lending a credibility that was never authorized.

There is no triumph in being betrayed, only a quiet, specific ache of having believed in someone who, as it turns out, may have counted on being defended. But silence has its own cost.

If people trusted this person partly because they trusted us, then our silence becomes part of the deception. We would rather speak plainly now than let that continue. So let us be plain: this person does not speak for us. They do not act on our behalf. Nothing they have promised, sold, or agreed to carries our endorsement now and before.

We are not asking for outrage. We are asking for care. We are living in an age that confuses accountability with spectacle, and we want no part of the latter. What we want is simpler: that we ask questions, that we verify, and that we extend trust thoughtfully rather than automatically.

Trust is still one of the better things we give each other. But it should walk hand in hand with discernment, not instead of it. We did not want to write this but we have learned that the things we least want to say are often the ones most necessary to say out loud. If this spares even one person of the damages we’ve felt, it will have been worth saying. by @ak.arw

My first ever International bar takeover.

What started as a dream behind a bar at home has brought me across borders, cultures, and new friendships. I’m grateful to the team who trusted me, the community that welcomed me, and everyone who supported me long before this opportunity existed. This experience reminded me that growth happens when we say yes to the unknown.

Thank you for letting me share my craft, my story, and this day with you.

Big thanks to @yardstickcoffee and @noto_inc for making this possible. by @ak.arw
