fall semester pt 2 ~

both sets of drawings were for my final, which was a color study. the small graphite thumbnails are of my blue snowball microphone.

the assignment involved making a final composition with elements of the object we chose. i chose to create a robot dragon-snakelike creature with the components of the microphone. if you like pokémon, you might recognize that it looks similar to raquaza, which is what inspired this design. for the final color drawing, i used an accented analogous pallet.

i think the final product turned out pretty good for how rushed i was towards the end ;)

1: one-point perspective done with prismacolors based on a narrative we made (mine was about a halloween town if you couldn’t tell)

2: 3 thumbnail still-lifes to practice mark-making techniques and a final big still-life done with crosshatching

3: bunch of 2 point perspective drawings of buildings around campus
