Late Bloomer Kerchief is live @theknitcafe. I used handspun Polwarth dyed by @woolfiendd. And for the flowers, I dyed up a fingering skein of Bfl and held it double for embroidery. Knitting up handspun yarn was quite amazing. Won't be my last!

The Odd Sock pattern is out by Alex @skeinnydippin. It is a toe up sock where you can pick whatever you want for your toe, body of your sock and cuffs! Super customizable and you don't need to knit the same sock twice. Oh and the heel is amazing. I might have to start knitting toe up from here 😌

I selected a slanted toe with 2x2 ribbing for the foot and leg. Topped it off with 1x1 ribbing for the cuff and finished it with Jenny's surprisingly stretchy bind off

I test knitted for @saskieco to make the dog expansion pack. Of course I had to use colours that matched my baby girl to make her a new sweater.

All done with my Tour De Fleece. I joined my own team and just winged it. I must say, this was a nice reminiscing of my work. I also made a dent in my never-ending stash which is quite nice.

It was lovely to see everyone's spinning adventure during the tour.

I tagged everyone who created these wonderful fluffy goodness. The big skeins were from Freeda at Koomasee. No more social media or shop though.

I tested the Baby Gem Tee by @kiyomibee. It was so fun to see the little lettuce trim edges. Definitely a must knit piece. I already took it for a test drive going out and it is quite comfy 😎 I used a silk/linen base that I overdyed and it came out perfect. Thank you Ki for letting me test it.

How fun was this to make :)

I tested the Glimmer Top by @yarnita.creations. It was nerve-wracking at first since it was first time. My brain was also braining too much calculating the beads to go at a specific spot. In the end, it came out amazing. Definitely won't be my last to make something with beads 🤭 by @akara.rose

I find making squares and smaller projects are tolerable for me. Nothing complicated, just simple stitches. And I've been doing lots of practice doing mattress stitch with piecing together knitted projects. It's nice to do something different.

It also gives me new ideas to create something different that I haven't tapped into before.

I've been working on these panels to make a blanket. I'm test knitting this for @jojo.tricot who designed this fun pattern. Amazing to use up scrap yarn and definitely great using handspun. I am using a variety of Yarns I have for awhile and it feels good to use them up. I have 3 more squares to go!

This baby got a new sweater 😍

I designed my first ever sweater for my sweet bully girl. I wanted to accommodate her size and use available stash I have (not that I ever run out). I used superwash merino so I can still wash it later.

So exciting to see this transform. It goes piece by piece and so magical to witness. Use that handspun. Use that precious yarn. Use up that scrap yarn. I dug my deep stash too and it's like Christmas all over again.

My first knitted blanket! 🤩

I started a new project while my newly finished sweaters are blocking. This is a test knit for Paula @jojo.tricot who designed this blanket. They are made in squares which is portable and mindless. I am using some handspun yarn here for my first block with @allaire.melanie and some other yarn that I already had in my stash.

Yarn: Handspun 150g of South American/Tweed blend
Orange - Discontinued Yarn by Sugarbush. I think it has 50/50 wool/Alpaca. And the white yarn is Fisherman's Wool.

I can't wait to wear this. It's all coming together. I did change my plans to make this larger and longer. I am adding 9 more squares on the bottom. This is so fun to make. Have you made a pieced sweater before?
