In August, if you remember, we announced that we would be launching our website that August. We couldn't. 🥲

We have been testing and fine-tuning... until last weekend, due to yet another WhatsApp logout, we had to move to the website, rather abruptly.

Which means, we have had to work through glitches while the website is in use. 🙏🏽

We apologise for every inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we continue to strive to serve you better.

Please do not hesitate to share your feedback/experience using the website.

So, for pickup and delivery, visit akaracafe.com. 💛

I don’t think Akara ever imagined that a day would come when it would be filled with minced meat. 😂 @akara_cafe, I salute thee! 🙌

Y’all got something good going on! I REALLY enjoyed my brunch. To think their menu is so affordable, and the food still bangs!

With the way the French toast got me, I might be stopping by the café again soon.

If you’re in Abuja and you don’t know @akara_cafe, you’re missing out big time!

And if you’ve ever gotten anything from them, what’s your favourite thing on the menu?

MY TOTAL BILL (Excluding delivery)

1. Meaty Akara (5 pieces) - N1,500
2. French toast (2 thick slices) - N1,500
3. Paper bag - N1,500

PS.: Be like @vivien_ogar. Pray that your steps will always be ordered by God.

🇳🇬❤️ Celebrating Independence by Giving Back!

Yesterday, we stepped out of the clinic and into the community as we celebrated Nigeria’s Independence Day in partnership with Akara Cafe, Abuja. 🇳🇬

It was a beautiful day of connection, smiles, fun, and a little reminder that your oral health deserves attention wherever you are. 🦷💚

From engaging with members of the community to sharing valuable oral health tips and creating memorable moments, we were grateful to be part of this special celebration.

At Zoom36 Dental Care, we believe that healthy smiles go beyond the dental chair — they are part of a healthier, happier community.

Here’s to Nigeria, to better health, and to many more reasons to smile. 🇳🇬🥂

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria! 💚🤍💚

A short story (about our #October1DayParty).

In November 2019, our second Asokoro location was demolished.

We had only been there for nine months. Having been run out of our first Asokoro location by an impossible landlord, we got a silver lining when a park space opened right next to it, and the new landlord generously held a spot for us.

Through his kindness, and that of friends, acquaintances and strangers who donated to our crowdsourcing campaign, we reopened in February 2019... and got a demolition notice that November.

It took almost two years to return. At the end of September 2021, Akara Café reopened on Accra Street in Wuse.

And by September 2022, we were still standing.

For the first time since launching in 2015, we had completed one full, uninterrupted year.

Of course, we threw a party! 😀

It happened to coincide with Nigeria’s Independence Day - rather conveniently for our pro-Nigerian branding. 🇳🇬

Five years on, we are still here.

So much gratitude to our dear patrons, our wonderful team, and everyone whose kindness has helped us along the way.

Cheers to more years of celebrating. And to the Nigeria we hope to see. 🤍💚🇳🇬
