My kids are my world. I’m still sitting on a high about my son shooting his first big game critter with his bow. He’s been try and working hard and seeing the success and joy is literally unforgettable. Most dads out there can relate I’m sure. The only downside is now I gotta take him for archery caribou in a few weeks 😂😂 by @akdavemadden

It’s good to have friends. That is the moral of the second part of my moose hunt. No other words on this one needed. by @akdavemadden

Story to follow at some point but as a dad today is epic. My son, DJ, took his first critter with a bow. Perfect 50 yard shot behind the shoulder. I’m still lost for words.
Definitely some folks to thank on this one and they know who they are

As I sit here today mentally preparing to setup a second bow for my upcoming moose hunt I’ve decided this year I’m not going to be a complete disaster and destroy shit. For those that don’t know me I’m a mess, I’m like a testing ground to see if hunting gear is easily destroyed. I have nicknames to compliment that. I’ve done it all. My favorite was definitely the propane and ammo fire while driving 😂😂😂. Prayers are definitely welcome 😂 by @akdavemadden

Did some nostalgia today and shot my PSE Mach one. Man I still love that bow even though it sits in the closet.
It pushes a 538 grain vap ss at 299 FPS for a whopping 106.83 ke. That’s just wild. by @akdavemadden

I wanted to share my thoughts on the Spot-Hogg Priz and address some common misconceptions. While it may not be marketed specifically for hunting, I have had great success using it in various weather conditions since last October. Let's set the record straight. The @spothoggarchery Priz may not be necessary for average deer hunters or adult males with sufficient draw length, but it can be a benefit for those with shorter draws, such as women and children, or those using heavier arrows with a low peep. We all have unique needs, and this sight can help level the playing field. To those who claim that lens cannot be used for hunting, I would argue that there are likely more lenses in the woods during hunting season than bow sights. Rifle enthusiasts can attest to the effectiveness of lenses in the field. Of course, precautions are necessary, such as using a sight cover and possibly a lens pen, but the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. By embracing innovative technology like the Spot-Hogg Priz, we can empower more hunters to succeed and enjoy the sport. by @akdavemadden

I suppose it’s time to get ready for moose season. Something new(to me) to test this year. Curious how these Victorys will pan out. I’ll post the build later for anyone that’s interested by @akdavemadden

Ahh the new Spot-Hogg Archery Products Priz lens. I finally have a chance to sit down and give my thoughts. For technical stuff I’m not your guy lol. There is plenty out there already. What I am and what I did for the last 6 months was test it in the the harshest conditions I could. I had it in the arctic in snow storms and negative temps, I had it outside in negative 30, I shot it in the rain and heavy fog.
So the good, pretty much worked flawless but yes it’s a lens so you have to recognize that. I keep a hood on it in the rain and have a lens pen. Never used the lens pen and rain drops really did not bother me. Fog was where I thought would be hard but I got out to almost 80 yards, could of went further but my range finder stopped reading🤷‍♂️
I think they are saying you gain 30 yards but I actually think I gained a little more but that could be my setup so don’t quote me on that. I also after hunting season put a six power lens on the other side. This was a non issue as well. If you use a lens with the Priz and a double pin the second pointer will be off because of the magnification but that is a Bryce at Spot hogg question, I just know it works. I will say with the two lenses there is the possibility of fogging if you go cold to hot but it will dissipate, personallyi didn’t have any of that.

I’ll get asked about down sides. Honestly i really didn’t see any. I did have to take a few days to get used to it because I’ve always drew back right on target and with the Priz when did that i would be low. I got used to it , so much so that while sighting in my bow for bear season the other day I forgot it was in the sight on that bow until i noticed a rain drop on it.

So pretty long winded but I wanted to give honest opinions from real world scenarios.
