The final chapter in the Marissa Ambrose Witness Series!! by @akramirezwrites

Getting to see @akramirezwrites again was great! I got the rest of the books in her series (I bought the first book back at Westside Con earlier this year) and I was excited to get a photo with her.

She is a sweet lady. I'm excited to see where her writing goes!

Happy birthday to Memories & Scars! 💜 The introduction to Kate, who might have something on the horizon.
Which was your favorite book out of the series?

And that's a wrap on October 2026!

6 events, 4 weekends, road trips, 100 books, and so many lovely, wonderful people! New readers, readers who came to get the final book in the series and people who have read the whole series and just wanted to say hi! It was a whirlwind and a very grounding experience. I can't say thank you enough!

I'm gonna hibernate now. 💜 by @akramirezwrites

Last day at @wahorrorcon and I did the difficult thing of leaving Crichton home to rest and just brought the brat. Crichton is tired and deserves a day of rest, not that he believed me when I left.
So far the brat has reminded me its very hard to reset up a table by yourself and.tjwy puddles are obviously for jumping. But he takes joy in literally everything he does, so that is a lesson we can all learn. by @akramirezwrites

Tomorrow. Booth A3 in the Showplex.

Set up is about half way done but I didn't have time to take pictures, we left with 4 minutes to spare before the gates closed. I'm really excited. Trying some new things with the table- have all five books in the series.

All that said, I'm super hard into my feelings right this moment. The imposter syndrome is loud, and I'm questioning if I even belong here. This will be my third year at horrorcon, always my second best show of the year. And I'm feeling utterly defeated with zero explanation. Had a breakdown in my driveway and now feeling like sharing one of the harder parts of being an author. Because being an author isn't just writing.

I might just be tired. This will be event number 6 for the month. And while I am exhausted, for a little transparency, this month was 1/3 of all the books sold this year at local events (I don't count summercon because conventions are their own beast) and it's been absolutely amazing. And I have met so many lovely people.

So now that I've overshared, I'm going to sleep and I will see everyone tomorrow. Please stop by and say hi- we are gonna have some fun things this time around. by @akramirezwrites

Another Audrey update.

Straight from the doctor after looking at all the blood work. They do not think she has MCAS based on the results. They believe it is as simple as exercise induced anaphylaxis. (5% - 15% of all anaphylaxis cases)

We have a follow up appointment next month to discuss the possibility of a monthly shot (Xolair) and management going forward. If anyone has any experience, ideas, thoughts- because as of right now, Audrey is unable to play sports and very disappointed. (Not her words - my words are nicer) by @akramirezwrites

Look at what is available today!! Missing and Fractured on audible - narrated by @heatherdanielnarrator

He was there to keep her safe. He failed.

James Mackenzie's whole world has been turned upside down. He has spent the last year by Marissa's side, trying to keep her safe from the serial killer who is stalking her. She had already been kidnapped once, three years ago. The killer has been watching her ever since, always close and always watching. Now the killer has her again, Mac is certain of it.

The police and FBI are less certain. Even some of her family members are convinced that Marissa just walked away from her life. Bodies had been recovered weeks ago, the case was closed. The stalker was gone, this is what the authorities said. There was no way she could be taken. After everything they've been through, he is certain that the killer is still out there and that he has her.

It's all been leading up to this.

Three years of unmarked envelopes at her door, full of photographs of Marissa as she lived her life and the people in her life. Three years of flowers with cryptic meanings and threatening letters. It has all led up to this moment.

Now, all she can do is fight to stay alive. by @akramirezwrites

Update on Audrey after seeing the allergist.

It's likely not an allergy issue. It's a Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Which I also have, but Audrey being Audrey needed to take it a step further and make it extreme. Essentially, running keeps sending her into anaphylaxis. My active, athletic child.

So we have some things to figure out and maybe some life changes. If anyone has any MCAS advice, suggestions or just positive thoughts and vibes - please send them our way. The struggle be real. by @akramirezwrites
