I am beyond excited to announce that my new album, “it’s easier to imagine the end of the world” is releasing on October 30 on @intakt_records. It features some of my favorite musicians in the world: @mrryaneaster , @ilaubrock , @yumasax , @doyeonmusic , @maryhalvorsonmusic , @davidvirellespiano , #christordini, and @smithches . Not only that, but the first single - a teaser track that doesn’t actually appear on the album but is too good not to share - is also out today on youtube and all streaming platforms (except Sp***fy...link in bio). It’s called “Enoughness”, and it features myself, Mary Halvorson, and Ches Smith. It’s Bandcamp Friday! Pre-orders are now up for “it’s easier to imagine the end of the world..." and you can stream one track from the actual album (exclusively on Bandcamp). Link in my bio! The track is called “Corporate Tax as a Percentage of Total Federal Revenue in the US, 1952, 1975, and 1998”. It’s titled after an illuminating graph in No Logo by Naomi Klein, and it features an awesome solo by @davidvirellespiano, alongside amazing playing from @mrryaneaster , @ilaubrock , @yumasax , @doyeonmusic , @maryhalvorsonmusic , #christordini, and @smithches . A few weeks ago GEORGE made a little jaunt over the Atlantic to play at Cologne Jazzweek and the Bimhuis. In Cologne, we heard some great music by: @rogerkintopf CIPHER: @therealkirkakarje @felix_hauptmann @philipdornbusch and our own @ChiquitaMagic who played a powerful DJ set We were to privileged to open for and hang out with @samamidon and Sam Gendel as an extra bonus we met the amazing composer/dude, @ _ethanbraun_ As you can see Sarah and Anna had too much fun at soundcheck making creepy shadow creatures. The next day we played for the Amsterdamers (including @ekimeroom2024 (Michael Moore), @jodigilbert799 and @ab_baars) at the renown bimhuis. If you have not been there, check it out! The venue is stunning and the crew is top-notch. We are grateful for the support of @lecalq , which made this trip possible. To help celebrate these fun gigs, we have posted a tune, bounce from the 2nd set on June 30, 2026 at Festival International de Jazz de Montréal which happened to be the birthday of @k8ness (hence John’s headgear) You can hear the whole thing on this website we like to call « YouTube » « link in bio » Filmed & Edited by: Evan Shay If you want more of GEORGE, come out to these fine venues to hear us live in October! This is a clip of the video from first single for "it's easier to imagine the end of the world..." - it's a teaser track that doesn’t actually appear on the album but is too good not to share - is also out today on youtube and all streaming platforms (link in bio). It’s called “Enoughness”, and it features myself, Mary Halvorson, and Ches Smith. It’s sometimes difficult to know if specific political ideas can be expressed in songs without words, but this particular song is expressing the idea that goal of acquiring more and more things/money/power is deeply flawed.
