The only upside to morons stealing copper from an important suburban station which delayed all regional trains for hours today was that I had bonus time to work on my Spring Fling flowers. 🤔

So I'm finally settled at home, joining @barefootcrafter & all the wonderful #saturdaynightcraftalong crew. I'm hoping to get the two partially sewn units finished, set onto the background fabric and stitched down.

Joining @barefootcrafter, @charmaboutyou and the lovely @lisapinenotes around the world for this week's #saturdaynightcraftalong.

I'm using some of my card making equipment to complete fabric siggie squares to post to the lovely SCQuilters who gave me one of theirs at the recent retreat in Geelong.

Then I'm going to organise the last hexi pair units for my #springfeverquilt ready for sewing. What are your priorities this weekend?

After afternoon stitching on the train and nearly having a heart attack cheering on my daughter's team in the grand final, I'm joining Rachel @barefootcrafter, Lucy @charmaboutyou and Lisa @lisapinenotes as #saturdaynightcraftalong moves around the world.

I've started assembling the hexi linking units of my Spring Fever quilt, brilliantly designed by @jessicabree. I'm still a long way off completing it, but I'm really loving the journey.

For your encouragement, donations and care.
I'm going to try and maintain the dedicated walks as they've been better than my usual aimless wanderings.

I never thought I'd actually achieve the donation goal, still overwhelmed but so grateful for the way it will help others. 🙏 by @al_in_focus

Specially for my lovely friend @lisapinenotes and others feeling a tad cold or needing a colour boost. 😊
After travelling for about a month, I arrived home to discover spent daffs and nectarine blossoms but loads of blossoms on my peach trees.

Spring means my grevillias burst with new blooms, as do my prostanthera (native mint bush) and acacia (golden wattle) I still have my apple and cherry trees to blossom and some random ranunculas from last spring have regrown.

And so many other plants ready to entice birds into my garden over the next few months.

I'm currently at my second SCQ (Southern Cross) Quilters retreat, socialising, laughing and sewing up more of my #springfever epp blocks (love your design @jessicabree 🙏💜)

And no, that's not technically new fabric you can see as I've had it for a few hours now and decided before I came here that nothing could possibly tempt me to get any more 🙄😂

Raising a toast in rembrance of my friend Sandra, who died from pancreatic cancer in February.

Normally, we'd be inbibing on 🥂 🍹 🍸, but I've given it up as part of my #rememberseptember goals.
I'm now also over half way through my walking goal, and almost 65% of my fundraising goal.

If you can help me reach my goal, I'd be very grateful, and if you are unable to contribute, I understand. 💜

It might not be the weather for swimming here, but it's perfect for creating.

I've finally found more suitable fabric and am planning to get stuck into putting several #springfever blocks together this week.
