This time, we will feature a couple of pieces by @alainesmith

She’s an artist interested in anatomy and the human form as a way to explore the subconscious mind and the body’s emotional memory. Using bold, intuitive color, surreal, fragmented shapes and symbolisms, her work moves between abstraction and recognition, allowing forms to dissolve and reassemble beyond logic. Her interest is in what the body and mind hold beneath awareness and subconscious, highlighting the parts of ourselves that surface without explanation.

Made some paintings for @bluegold.wax party this past Saturday :)

I’ve been experimenting with new textures, using potatoes and garlic to stamp the canvas.

Always fun seeing people dance next to my paintings 🪲🪲
