LAST NIGHT WAS INCREDIBLEEEEE

There's so many communities within San Antonio, and for whatever reason, most people tend not to move around or see what else the city has to offer.
This is pretty common in the local music scene...
Well, when you see them merge together or coexist, this is what happens every time!
You're witnessing the birth of a new family... A new place for people to be themselves...
Big shouts to @haze.dt for allowing me to be a part of this! History is getting made with this, I'm telling you right now, I know it when I see it!

Now I was wrestling with a phone battery, so I only caught a few performances on camera, but just in these, you can tell this was special....
THANK YOU🙏💌 taken in The Mix by @alamocityrap

I remember meeting this artist at an event of mine about a year or 2 ago, not knowing much about him besides his name & his passion.
Now I have the pleasure, of not only reviewing his exclusive, unreleased album, but also, introducing you to this young comer up, @tristanchuey .
I dove in head first, being taken for a seemingly casual & laid back ride.
Surprisingly almost like a @macmiller , @souloho3 meets @flatbushzombies .
With the beginning seeming to lay the foundation for the project, it is quickly going to take a sharp, aggressive & unapologetic turn.
Track 3 “ACTIN’ LIKE” is hands down one of the best examples of the perfect balance of now, and then. @tristanchuey turns up the heat with this one, and lets out all the smoke!
The MOMENT it started, he got me.
The chorus isn’t just catchy, because with the beat production behind it, it’s addictive.
If you hear it once, you’ll find yourself needing to play it again, and again.
The ride doesn’t stay in one spot long. Exploring many different styles throughout the album, @tristanchuey also offers some insight about never overlooking someone’s talents, as well as the good & bads of love, childhood memories
& mental health.
Of course, with every album some tracks stand out more than others.
The lyrics that resonated, really resonated, especially accompanied by a solid ass beat.
The ones that didn’t resonate with me seemed too similar in styles/sounds of other tracks on the album for them to make a strong individual impact & stand out.
Not a sour taste at all, but instead just needed some more seasonings.
However, I know the ones that fell a little short on my palet, will be someone else’s favorite dish.
Overall, I think @tristanchuey is a true visionary.
An artist that is passionate and dedicated to his unique sound, which shows when he pours his creativity into his music.
@tristanchuey .. Drop the project.
It “Feels Like Forever”.

Within seconds of starting the latest project from artist @tjospacey , “ * can’t hang “
I knew it was going to be a good one, but nothing of what I expected ✨
We’re given the smooth lowkey vibe that’ll lay the foundation for what follows; bars.
When @tjospacey starts rapping he gives a steady and confident flow, while also experimenting with new sounds. A unique blend of artists with styles that reminded me that from sounds like KYLE, to @outkast , to Frank Ocean.
Personally, I was blown away with not only the quality of the production, but the vocals that show off what @tjospacey really is; an artist.
My favorite example of this is
Track 3, “ One Step at a Time “
I was transported.. to TJ SPACE..
Floating amongst the stars.
Lost..
Until @tjospacey comes in with something that I was not expecting; a full melodic song.
Something I can only describe as not just a surprise, but a pleasant one.
The vocals over the beat, the rhythm, the effects and the synth that not just supports the song, but gives the song it’s whole pulse.
@tjospacey delivers again, and again and again, so of course it was no surprise when reviewing this project, he was at the door with a large pepperoni, extra cheese pizza & once again; delivered.
& once again, left his supporters full.

The wait is over…
I present to you the next artist making his way to the scene, @therealbamm2x !! 🌟

Representing the south of the map 🗺️
From Monroe, Louisiana we talkin’ about the one & only @chekmysteez !!
If you can’t handle the heat then you gotta keep scrollin’ because ol boy stay with a fire ass steady flow along with rhythmic hops on the beat that most can only dream of mastering !! 🧠
Looking up to & learning from a few of the greatest to ever to touch the mic like @macmiller , @wizkhalifa , & @larryjunetfm 🔥!!
@chekmysteez holds his foot in the ground when it comes to this rappin’ shit , he proves so in his track “SOUL SURVIVOR!” which is packed with back to back diverse rhymes & never leaves the flow empty or weak.
Every. Line. HITS !! 🤌🏼🤌🏼
So what’s the next step for our local star?
Well with just recently dropping an EP, titled
“Before the $.$.”,
@chekmysteez just keeps on evolving !
Giving us a groovy lofi & upbeat rap vibe making it a truly enjoyable soul bent experience to listen to.
With nowhere to go but up, this young star is still shooting in the sky, & doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon !
