Fun fact: I absolutely hate the taste of specifically raw tomatoes. Cooked is completely fine. I love tomato sauce, ketchup, Margarita pizza, chunks of cooked tomatoes in chili, or any time a tomato is cooked...but my taste buds hate anything to do with raw tomatoes.

“For me, Kind of Blue is an album every jazz student should listen to because of its incredible energy, emotional depth, and the way the band sounds as a complete unit. The groove is relaxed yet intensely swinging, the musicians take great solos while also listening to each other beautifully, and the album creates a mood and atmosphere that few recordings in any genre have ever matched.”

“It’s accessible and interesting at the same time, and lots of other great players like Miles Davis, Bill Evans, and Robert Glasper checked out a lot of Ahmad Jamal.”

Fun fact: I have chickens. They don’t play jazz.
