A week ago I was supposed to participate in my first Ironman event but was cancelled due to weather. It was rescheduled to Oct. 24 and unfortunately I’ll be in Spain 🥲. So did a “got an Ironman at home” version. Was hoping to go sub 6 but with these numbers, plus transition and race day factors I’d probably finish just over 6 hrs. We’ll have to wait next year to make it official!

More importantly with your kindness and generosity we raised $2300 for patients diagnosed with rare cancers for the @allyson.whitney.foundation . To all those that donated, thank you from the bottom of me heart. As promised I matched total donations up to $500. Most of us have dealt with cancer in one way or another. These 70 miles is dedicated to my father and to my family and friends who have lost someone to cancer or who are having to battle cancer themselves. Quick recap of the conservation trip to South Africa between @the_paradocx and @sfw_conservation. The Paradocx is a group of SOF medics that instructs and supports medicine in austere/ irregular environments. SFW conservation is a non profit whose purpose is to save the endangered wildlife in South Africa. Together we supported Ranger/ Anti-Poaching and K-9 units and their efforts in wildlife conservation. When out in the bush, they can succumb to injuries from poachers/wildlife and closest medical care for some can be upwards of 5 hours away. To support their efforts, they were taught how to respond, assess, treat and transport injured personnel (human/doggies) until they can reach definitive care. Day and night FTXs were conducted to reinforce what they learned that day. We also supported them with poaching patrol/tracking tactics. Visit @sfw_conservation and learn more about their efforts on wildlife conservation and @the_paradocx for austere medicine application. Just a few thoughts a week after completing the @lamarathon :

First, before the marathon, I hated running. Turns out after training and finishing the marathon, I still hate that $#!+ 😂. But what a way to push and challenge yourself 🙌🏽

Secondly, shoutout the homies @therealericninan @_ulius @deeppatel528 @sagarp0306 @dptbdoze for the motivation to finish 🏅🏅🏅

Few weeks late 😅. A couple weeks shy of his birthday, my father would of turned 77 today. The poem recited in the video reflects the life he LIVED and much more.

He fought back against communism and left a war torn country with nothing more than the clothes he wore. Arrived in a new country, learned a new language and adopted a new lifestyle. He LIVED.

Got a job as a full time janitor cleaning offices to put himself through college and eventually graduated with a degree in Computer Science. Travelled the world visiting various religious sites he's always dreamed of seeing. He LIVED.

Married a beautiful wife and had three children, one girl and two boys (one he blessed with looks, the other is eh; comment down below which one y'all think is which). Gave them everything he never had which was more than enough, but more importantly, loved with every ounce of his being. He LIVED.

Shared countless memories with family and friends, sharing laughs, stolen moments and unforgettable nights. He LIVED.

No matter what life threw at him, he never complained. His bout with leukemia was no different. Though it eventually took his life, it never took his spirit.He LIVED.
