Hoy han venido a visitar "La biblioteca ilustrada de #NiñoCactus" el alumnado de 4º de primaria del #CEIPDoctorCastroviejo de Logroño.

¡Que gozada escuchar a @alberto_ninocactus contar sus historias!
Historias cotidianas llenas de humor, versos que nos mueven y nos hacen pensar.

Hasta el 30 de septiembre podéis venir a visitar la exposición, de lunes a viernes de 10:00 a 14:00 h.

✨International Latino Book Awards

Great news 👏👏👏! Two of our picture books are finalists and four of our titles received a Honorable Mention.
The awards ceremony will take place next October in the city of Los Angeles 🇺🇸, and then we’ll find out whether our two finalist titles , “Primos” by Margarita del Mazo and Silvia Álvarez and “ ¿Este regalo es para mí? “ by Jose Carlos Román and Silvia Álvarez , will receive a gold, silver, or bronze medal. Congratulations to those who have already received an Honorable Mention and to the finalists. 🙂👏👏👏✨

Powerful Reads!

The Tiger Child by @michellebeech_ is an enchanting, whimsical, adventurous, colorful, and naturefilled book! I love the pure adoration of natute and stunning illustrations each page of this book contains. It has such a stunning message on bravery and overcoming fears. I love the peek through pages and surprise pop-up! This is a 10/10!

My America Blooms by @nazfordwrites is a heartfelt, hopeful, raw, eye-opening, and needed read! This book truly moved me. It is one you simply have to read. I love how honesty about the challenges of immigrating due to war, racism, and language barriers are balanced with kindness, hope, American pride, and connection! I highly recommend it!

Chanel & Milo The Legend Begins by @julialrosengren is a kind, adventurous, silly, heartfelt, and fun read! I love how these two characters balance each other out and display genuine nonjudgment. This book beautifully showcases the power of friendship in the sweetest way! I adore this doggy read!

The House by @alberto_ninocactus is a thought-provoking, self-discovery, and transformation story! This book shows the beauty and importance of a house from being a new build, to sheltering a family, to loosing parts of itself in a fire, to being abandoned, and to becoming one with nature. It is a lovely reminder that we all have a purpose during all seasons of life.

Aprovechando que mi último libro, La casa, está viajando por China de la mano de la editorial @cuentodeluz , quiero compartir algunas imágenes de mi viaje a este país hace ya siete años.

Durante mi estancia, tuve la oportunidad de contar cuentos en un colegio bilingüe gracias a la invitación de uno de sus bibliotecarios, Logan Noland. No solo fue un magnífico anfitrión, traductor, conductor de tuc-tuc y guía turístico, sino que también me enseñó otra manera de trabajar en bibliotecas escolares y me regaló su amistad.
