A house finds purpose when a family moves in creating warmth and caring for it. But when it’s struck by lightning and catches fire, the family is forced to move away. It sat silent and empty for a long time before realizing it never stopped being a house, only now, it was for plants and animals Ripe for conversation about what happens to buildings that are left vacant, along with where plants and animals may find unlikely homes, The House also makes a reader wonder, who or what is a house for. The pink, greens, and blues used to create the illustrations beautifully mirror the images created in the text of warmth, coldness, and smoke. Title: The House Author: Spanish writer NiñoCactus Translator: Jon Brokenbrow Illustrator: Spanish artist Celia Sacido Publisher: Cuento de Luz [2025] The House was sent to me for review by the publisher and Publisher Spotlight. All opinions are my own.

📚𝕋𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕣'𝕤 𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕒 𝕋𝕙𝕣𝕖𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕋𝕙𝕦𝕣𝕤𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕡𝕠𝕤𝕥. 🐶 Thank you to @pubspotlight for my gifted books! 🏚️The House by @alberto_ninocactus Illus. @celia_sacido @cuentodeluz - is a poignant, poetic story about a house that provides shelter for a loving family. When the house catches on fire, the family is forced to flee. After, they leave the house feels abandoned, and without a purpose. Eventually, it finds peace and rebirth in nature as animals and plants take shelter inside of it during a long winter. 🐢Mabel and Merryglow: The Spark by @anne_montel & Loïc Clément Illus. @julien.arnal @postwave_books is a relatable story about childhood fears. Mabel is a tortoise who is terrified of the dark. When Merryglow, a kind firefly invites her for tea, they develop a beautiful friendship. He teaches her to face her anxiety, embrace the safety of her shell, and to no longer fear the dark. 🇺🇲My American Blooms by @nazfordwrites Illus. @fateme_illustration @beamingbooksmn is a moving, hopeful story that is inspired by the author's own experience of immigration. A young girl and her family are forced to flee Iran. She brings her precious golnar petals from her garden with her. In America, they tend a local community garden, and it helps them build friendships and stability. They experience prejudice, and unkind words from some people. They learn to navigate the complexities of the immigrant experience, and ultimately they discover hope and community. Such an important book for little ones to read. ✨️All of these books are beautifully illustrated, and will keep your young reader engaged. They will be available in my LFL starting next week! ➡️to see the illustrations. ❓️What is one children's book that instantly takes you back to your own childhood? #minibookreview #picturebooks #kidlit #kidlitart #threeforthursday / Pub Spotlight * Cuento De Luz * Post Wave * Beaming Books * LFL Book Adventures * LFL Steward

Powerful Reads! The Tiger Child by @michellebeech_ is an enchanting, whimsical, adventurous, colorful, and naturefilled book! I love the pure adoration of natute and stunning illustrations each page of this book contains. It has such a stunning message on bravery and overcoming fears. I love the peek through pages and surprise pop-up! This is a 10/10! My America Blooms by @nazfordwrites is a heartfelt, hopeful, raw, eye-opening, and needed read! This book truly moved me. It is one you simply have to read. I love how honesty about the challenges of immigrating due to war, racism, and language barriers are balanced with kindness, hope, American pride, and connection! I highly recommend it! Chanel & Milo The Legend Begins by @julialrosengren is a kind, adventurous, silly, heartfelt, and fun read! I love how these two characters balance each other out and display genuine nonjudgment. This book beautifully showcases the power of friendship in the sweetest way! I adore this doggy read! The House by @alberto_ninocactus is a thought-provoking, self-discovery, and transformation story! This book shows the beauty and importance of a house from being a new build, to sheltering a family, to loosing parts of itself in a fire, to being abandoned, and to becoming one with nature. It is a lovely reminder that we all have a purpose during all seasons of life. #gifted #partner Thank you to @postwave_books, @beamingbooksmn,  @bookpublicityservices, @cuentodeluz, & @pubspotlight for the gifted copies!

#narracionoral #cultura #cuentacuentos

🏠Buenas a todxs y feliz finde!
