POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2 years. Thousands of hours. Hundreds of meetings. 1 dream.

We’ve just been selected for the @hultprize Global Accelerator - a fully sponsored, month-long program in the UK bringing together 22 of the world’s top impact startups 🌍

Chosen from 188,000+ applicants across 131 countries - we’ll be pitching our solution on the global stage…
…for a chance at USD 1,000,000 in funding 💥

We’ve had moments of doubt.
Late nights, hard calls, and sacrifices no one sees.

But this makes it worth it.

From an idea…
to representing Australia 🇦🇺

Huge thanks to the ALBON team, mentors, friends, and early supporters, we’re only getting started.

💪💪💪 Let’s keep building.

What if algae could clean our rivers, restore our soils, and fight climate change? 🌱

At ALBON, we’re building a more sustainable future by turning wastewater into opportunity - using algae to capture carbon, treat pollution, and regenerate land. 🧪

This is climate tech in action.
This is how change begins.

Munich paid, algae slayed. 💼💅

Last week, we pitched ALBON at the MIT Climate & Energy Prize in Munich, alongside the top 10 international student climate-tech startups around the world.

Key takeaways from the competition:
(1) The future of climate tech is rapidly evolving, and collaboration across industries is key.
(2) Investors and industry leaders are increasingly focused on scalable solutions with immediate impact.
(3) There’s a growing demand for nature-based carbon capture, ALBON’s work is more relevant than ever.

Huge thanks to the organisers, judges, and fellow founders for the insights and conversations. And of course, to our team - this is just another step in the journey. Excited for what’s next! 🚀

We’ll be back next year…

We’ve joined the Climate 10x Accelerator 🌱
ALBON is now part of the @unswfounders Climate 10x program, backed by a $100K investment from Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy.
The timing couldn’t be better. We’re about to deploy our first paid pilot, and this backing helps us move from the lab to commercialisation.
Huge thanks to @unswfounders and TRaCE for believing in what we’re building. And to our angel investors and everyone who’s supported us along the way, thank you.
More to come soon 👀

For Mental Health Day, our team took a moment to check in, share some green snacks, and remind ourselves that looking after our mental health matters just as much as the work we do 💚

Just like our algae, we believe in creating the right environment for growth. Remember to check in with yourself and the people around you. Sometimes, a small conversation can make a big difference. #mentalhealth #wellbeing by @albon_au

A massive congratulations to our August Intern of the Month:
Harry Hehir 🎉 🐐

Harry has made an outstanding contribution to ALBON’s networks, cybersecurity and digital communications systems. His consistent and prompt approach to tasks in the office alongside his technical capability and reliability made him a highly valued contributor to the team throughout August.

Well done Harry, eager to see what’s next for you as he has just wrapped up his internship here at ALBON. 🧪

At ALBON, we value our Interns a great deal. So when a new Intern starts there is an immense increase in the chance of a reel dropping. Thanks Emma for the acting masterclass.
